Responsibilities Bilingual Accounting Operations Associate youtube.com (by clicking this link you are being referred to an external site that is not part of Panasonic) What You'll Get To Do: The Bilingual Accounting Operations Assistant supports day-to-day accounting-related operations by performing assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures and work instructions. The role requires Japanese and English communication skills and supports order processing, sales recognition, cost management, expense purchasing, payment processing, profit and loss statement data entry, and other administrative and management-support activities. Order processing, sales recognition, and cost management: Perform accounting-related tasks for customer orders, sales recording, and cost management in accordance with established procedures and work instructions. Expense purchase requests, payment processing, and profit and loss statement data entry: Support expense ordering, vendor/payment processing, and input of profit and loss statement information based on approved procedures. Other accounting administration and control support: Maintain records, organize supporting documents, check data accuracy, and assist with other management-support tasks as assigned. Financial Reporting and Internal Control Support: Support month-end closing activities, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, SOX compliance, internal control processes, and audit support to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with established policies and procedures. Scope: No direct supervisory responsibility. Works with accounting, operations, sales, and related departments as needed. Qualifications What You'll Bring: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Experience in accounting, administrative operations, order processing, sales recording, cost management, expense processing, or payment processing is preferred. Experience in month-end closing, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation, internal controls, or audit support is preferred. Candidate needs to be located in the Greensboro NC area Competencies: Ability to perform accounting-related work accurately by following established procedures and work instructions High attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility for data accuracy and documentation Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams Basic understanding of accounting operations, internal controls, and administrative processes Communications: Bilingual Japanese and English written and verbal communication is required. Communicates with internal stakeholders, headquarters, and related departments to confirm accounting-related information and coordinate required actions. Other Requirements: Ability to work in an office environment and handle confidential accounting and business information appropriately. Occasional overtime or schedule flexibility may be required during closing periods or business-critical deadlines. The wage range of $32-35 an hour is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
