Citi, the leading global bank, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 160 countries and jurisdictions. Citi provides consumers, corporations, governments, and institutions with a broad range of financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management. As a bank with a brain and a soul, Citi creates economic value that is systemically responsible and in our clients’ best interests. As a financial institution that touches every region of the world and every sector that shapes your daily life, our Enterprise Operations & Technology teams are charged with a mission that rivals any large tech company. Our technology solutions are the foundations of everything we do from keeping the bank safe, managing global resources, and providing the technical tools our workers need to be successful to designing our digital architecture and ensuring our platforms provide a first-class customer experience. We reimagine client and partner experiences to deliver excellence through secure, reliable, and efficient services. We value and demand respect for others, promote individuals based on merit, and ensure opportunities for personal development are widely available to all. Ideal candidates are innovators with well-rounded backgrounds who bring their authentic selves to work and complement our culture of delivering results with pride. If you are a problem solver who seeks passion in your work, come join us. We’ll enable growth and progress together. Role Summary We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager - SVP to lead a high-visibility, enterprise-scale technology programmer with senior executive sponsorship. You will own delivery end-to-end, from strategy through production, working closely with engineering, architecture, risk, and business leadership. Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end delivery of a complex, multi-workstream technology programmer, from business case through production and post-implementation review. • Translate strategic objectives into a sequenced, resourced delivery roadmap with clear milestones and exit criteria. • Engage directly with engineering and architecture leadership to challenge technical trade-offs and ensure plans reflect real delivery constraints. • Own and actively manage the program's risk, issue, and dependency register, driving closure rather than just tracking status. • Manage cross-functional and cross-team dependencies, negotiating commitments and escalating blockers before they hit the critical path. • Run project governance forums (steering committees, business reviews), producing agendas, decisions, and action tracking. • Deliver concise, accurate executive reporting on program status, risk, and financials on a regular cadence. • Identify and remove delivery friction, streamlining or automating recurring governance and reporting overhead. • Apply sound risk judgement in every delivery decision, safeguarding the firm's operations and reputation. Program Governance & Delivery • Apply a hybrid delivery approach, blending agile-at-scale practices with structured, phase-gated governance where needed. • Maintain core governance artefacts: program charter, RACI, roadmap, risk/issue log, and decision log. • Operate a defined cadence of team, programm, and executive-level reviews. • Use a tiered escalation approach with clear ownership and resolution timeframes. • Ensure decisions and changes are documented and auditable. Stakeholder Management & Executive Engagement • Act as the primary technical delivery point of contact for senior sponsors and cross-functional leadership. • Distil complex, multi-workstream status into clear, concise updates suitable for senior leadership review. • Influence and align stakeholders across teams without formal authority over them. • Surface risks and bad news early, always paired with a proposed mitigation or path forward. Required Qualifications • 10+ years in technology delivery, including 6+ years leading complex, multi-team technical agile programs. • Demonstrated ownership of large-scale program spanning multiple teams or business units. • Practical experience managing a formal risk/issue/dependency log and structured escalation process. • Working knowledge of at least one scaled delivery framework, applied in practice. • Ability to engage credibly with engineers and architects on technical trade-offs. • Track record of presenting project status to senior executive stakeholders. • Familiarity with platform engineering and DevSecOps practices e.g., CI/CD, GitOps, containerization, cloud migration patterns. • Hands-on experience with scripting, automation, or data modelling. Competencies & Behaviors • Distils complex project into clear, decision-ready executive updates. • Engages credibly on technical trade-offs rather than simply relaying engineering input. • Surfaces and mitigates risk proactively, before it becomes a blocking issue. • Aligns stakeholders across teams through influence rather than authority. • Runs disciplined governance without unnecessary process overhead. • Takes ownership of outcomes, leading with solutions when plans slip. Education • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience. • Master's Degree is preferred ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family Group: Technology ------------------------------------------------------ Job Family: Applications Support ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location: Irving Texas United States ------------------------------------------------------ Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $156,160.00 - $234,240.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
