Job description

About Virtualitics Virtualitics is the category leader in AI-native readiness applications for defense, government, and critical infrastructure. Founded on a decade of Caltech research in partnership with NASA/JPL, we are led by scientists, strategists, and servicemembers united by a single mission: to solve the world’s most complex, mission-critical challenges with AI. Our Readiness AI solutions deliver operational certainty — giving leaders and operators a clear picture of what’s ready, what’s at risk, and what to do next. By identifying risks early, diagnosing root causes, and recommending prioritized actions with transparent, explainable AI, we help organizations move from data complexity to decision advantage. Behind that impact is relentless innovation. Inventors at heart, we hold 15+ U.S. patents and are leading the shift toward agent-driven readiness. But what truly sets us apart is our culture — relentless about results, grounded in transparency, and driven by compassion for the mission and the people it serves. If you’re motivated by impact, inspired by technical depth, and ready to build AI that performs where it matters most — you’ll find your mission here. What You Will Be Doing We're looking for a Solutions Architect to join our Go-To-Market team. This role is a great fit for someone earlier in their solutions architecture career who's ready to get hands-on with the product and grow quickly alongside our customers and team. Customer Engagement: Communicate effectively with Technical Points of Contact (TPOCs), building trust and acting as a technical advisor to guide customers toward achieving their mission-critical objectives. Pre-Sales Support: Partner with Account Executives to deliver compelling product demonstrations, respond to RFPs, and craft technical responses to customer inquiries. Custom Demo Building: Build and tweak custom, targeted demos for prospective and existing clients using Python. Containerized Environments: Work with our containerized (Kubernetes) architecture, understanding how models are packaged and run consistently whether deployed on-prem or in the cloud. Cloud Staging and Delivery: Build and maintain cloud staging environments used for client demos; push PRs as part of demo and integration work. Technical Strategy Development: Define technical strategies for customer engagements, ensuring scalability and alignment with organizational goals. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between customer stakeholders and internal teams, translating business needs into technical requirements. Architecture Design and Review: Support the development and review of technical architectures that align with customer requirements and industry best practices. Technical Risk Management: Identify technical risks in customer engagements and help propose mitigation strategies. NatSec Integrations: Support integration work involving national security systems and environments. Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and product teams to create technical collateral and align customer feedback with product roadmaps. What We Are Looking For Active DoD SECRET clearance. 2 to 5+ years of experience in a solutions architecture or solutions-architecture-adjacent role. Be prepared to speak directly to your hands-on impact, not just tenure. Hands-on coding ability, comfortable with Python and Python-based demo/app tools, and experience pushing PRs. Working understanding of containerized/Kubernetes-based models and how they run across on-prem and cloud environments. Exposure to data science, data engineering, AI/ML solutions, cloud platforms, and/or systems integration. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive, “figure it out and ship it” mindset; someone who leans into ambiguity rather than waiting to be told what to do. What Are Our Preferred Requirements Prior Land, Sea, or Air Maintenance experience. Exposure to Readiness domains like Predictive Maintenance, Munitions Storage Planning, and/or Supply Chain Management. Familiarity with risk management frameworks, cloud service providers, and large-scale AI architectures. Knowledge of the unique requirements of DoD and IC environments. DoD TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI). What Are Some Valued Skills Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges. Strong collaboration skills to work across teams and organizational levels. Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment while meeting deadlines. Willingness to experiment with new tools and approaches rather than defaulting to “the way it's always been done.” What we offer you At Virtualitics, you’ll join a high-performance team of scientists, strategists, and servicemembers building AI that operates in the world’s most demanding environments. The problems we solve matter — and so does the opportunity to grow while solving them. You’ll have meaningful ownership from day one, with the ability to accelerate your career alongside a company scaling rapidly in national security and critical infrastructure. We offer highly competitive compensation, meaningful equity participation, and fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents. Our benefits also include unlimited PTO and flexible work arrangements, with remote flexibility and hybrid options for team members based in the Los Angeles or Washington, DC areas.
