Job description

SWEAT Ambassadors help create the welcoming, high-energy experience that makes SWEAT feel like home. At our Park View studio, Ambassadors are an extension of the SWEAT team and serve as both community ambassadors and classroom assistants. While Ambassadors are not coaches and are not responsible for programming or leading class, they work alongside our coaches to make sure members have what they need, the studio stays ready, and classes run smoothly. In exchange for supporting the Park View studio during designated shifts, Ambassadors receive a complimentary SWEAT membership. MEMBER EXPERIENCE & HOSPITALITY • Welcome members and help create a friendly, positive studio environment. • Encourage members to use self check-in through the SWEAT DC app or studio iPad. • Learn members' names and help everyone feel seen, supported, and connected. • Keep customer-facing areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready. • Help create the hospitality and community experience that makes SWEAT Park View feel like home. CLASSROOM SUPPORT • Act as a classroom assistant to the coach during class. • Help members get weights, equipment, wipes, or other items they may need during class. • Assist with moving, switching, and organizing equipment throughout the workout. • Help spot members when appropriate and within the Ambassador's training and comfort level. • Help the coach keep the room organized and the class moving efficiently. • Support members without taking over the coaching, programming, or instruction responsibilities of the coach. STUDIO RESET & OPERATIONS • Help reset equipment between classes. • At the end of the final class, reset the studio and equipment so the room is completely ready for the next day. • Help with towels, organization, cleaning, and basic studio upkeep. • Flag low supplies, maintenance issues, broken equipment, or other studio needs to the appropriate SWEAT team member. • Treat the studio like your own home: if something looks out of place, address it or communicate it. COMMUNITY & CONTENT • Capture authentic Park View moments, including member milestones, celebrations, class energy, and everyday studio life. • Take photos and short videos that can be used on SWEAT social channels. • Upload content to the designated SWEAT shared folder so it can be used for future posts and marketing. • Help recognize and celebrate our members and strengthen the Park View community. LIVE OUR CORE VALUES • Devotion - Care deeply about our members, our team, and the experience we provide. • Inclusion - Make everyone feel welcomed, respected, seen, and like they belong. • Fun - Bring positive energy and help make SWEAT a place people genuinely enjoy being. • Challenging - Encourage members to push themselves, grow, and get more out of their experience. • Inspirational - Lead through your actions, attitude, and energy and help others believe in what they can accomplish. Our core values should show up in how Ambassadors interact with members, support coaches, care for the studio, and represent SWEAT. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with members. • Reliable and consistent. • Proactive - someone who notices what needs to happen without always waiting to be asked. • Comfortable being active and assisting during a workout. • Comfortable taking photos and short videos. • Familiar with SWEAT and excited about our community. • A team player willing to jump in wherever needed. • Someone who takes pride in the Park View studio and the member experience. • Someone who genuinely represents SWEAT's core values. COMMITMENT & BENEFIT Ambassadors commit to a consistent weekly schedule agreed upon with SWEAT leadership. In exchange for active participation in the Ambassador Program, Ambassadors receive a complimentary SWEAT membership for as long as they remain active and in good standing in the program. THE SWEAT AMBASSADOR STANDARD Make the experience easier for the member and easier for the coach. You do not have to know how to solve every problem. What matters is that you notice what is happening, jump in where you can, and communicate when something needs additional attention. From helping someone grab heavier dumbbells, to getting a member a wipe, to celebrating a milestone, to resetting the room for tomorrow - the little things matter. Take care of the people. Take care of the space. Support the team. Live the values. WELCOME HOME.
