Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
Basic vehicle networking (CAN/LIN), Linux fundamentals, executing pre-written test scripts.
Python/C++ scripting, Vector CANoe, Automotive Ethernet, basic log analysis and telemetry triage.
Good to have expertise in dSPACE HIL, Vector toolchains, ISO 26262/ASIL validation, fault isolation and cross-subsystem state machine analysis.
Roles & Responsibilities
The Systems Integration Engineer is responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and upgrading vehicles and hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure.
• Operates and updates test infrastructure under provided tools and processes. Supports the execution of tests on this infrastructure.
• Integration Debug: Independently sets up test environments, flashes ECU firmware, and conducts automated subsystem integration tests. Identifies software/hardware interface drops. Develops processes and documentation for other team members to follow.
• Leads end-to-end SDS-Ready functional bring-up for both HIL and vehicles. Diagnoses complex, intermittent cross-module issues and failures of the SDS-Ready systems. Develops and expands test infrastructure to satisfy test engineering needs or accelerate the automation of testing.
The following are the activities involved:
• Execute in-vehicle or test bench tests following a list of Test Plans within the given timeline.
• Analyze the data from the test, which can include analysis of vehicle logs or other data acquisition sources.
• Update the Test Plans as needed, collaborate with other engineers and teams to provide solutions to improve or automate the procedures.
• Collaborate on and assemble test platforms - Help to build, design, and use test fixtures to be utilized in a lab, including, but not limited to wiring, fixtures, and cooling to test customer specific Hardware. Use power equipment including, but not limited to, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes and low voltage batteries.
• Write Test Plans to test specific components or features, execute them, document and communicate the results.
• Design and assemble wire harnesses
• Capture, escalate, and diagnose hardware and software issues encountered when commissioning and maintaining test platforms.
• Operate the Platform HIL and execute tests on it.
• Test Execution reports following the Test Plan’s Acceptance Criteria. This includes any additional necessary documentation that is required by the Test Plan, including data analyses, reports, pictures, presentations, spreadsheets or documents.
