At Capgemini Invent, we believe difference drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we blend our strategic, creative and scientific capabilities, collaborating closely with clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions. Join us to drive transformation tailored to our client's challenges of today and tomorrow. Informed and validated by science and data. Superpowered by creativity and design. All underpinned by technology created with purpose.
Your Role
As AI reshapes how organizations operate, compete, and create value, we are evolving our consulting model to be AI-enabled by design — augmenting human judgment with analytics, automation, and generative AI. Our Enterprise Transformation team is looking for consultants who are not only strong problem solvers, but who are excited to work differently in an AI-first world: curious, adaptable, and ready to help clients reimagine how work gets done.
Our Smart Plant group within Capgemini Invent redefines the industrial site, including all underlaying operations, processes, and technologies. We transform manufacturing through advisory, expertise, consulting and digital, bringing first-hand experience in manufacturing coupled with forward-looking know-how.
As a Mgr Technical Architect in Digital Manufacturing as part of our Capgemini Invent's Intelligent Industry practice, you will play a key role in designing and implementing next-generation manufacturing solutions for our clients. This position requires a blend of technical acumen, hands-on experience with operational technology, and the ability to bridge the gap between shop floor equipment and enterprise data platforms. You translate manufacturing requirements into scalable solutions across IT, OT, and manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate brings a platform-native and AI-centric mindset to drive innovation in digital manufacturing environments.
You will:
• Engage with clients to understand underlaying needs, create requirements, craft technical architectures and integrated solutions, present solution architectures, and provide technical leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Design and architect technical solutions for manufacturing clients, leveraging IIoT, MES, AI Platforms, and modern IT/OT/automation technologies.
• Serve as the SME for manufacturing processes, operations, quality, material flow, traceability, and shopfloor execution.
• Engage with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, IT, and OT teams to understand current and future-state processes.
• Translate manufacturing processes and requirements into system capabilities, solution architecture, and technical requirements.
• Define how ERP, MES/MOM, SCADA, WMS, QMS, PLM, automation, and data platforms support and integrate with manufacturing processes.
• Design end-to-end manufacturing system architecture, including integrations, interfaces, data flows, and system boundaries.
• Bridge the shopfloor and enterprise by connecting OT, manufacturing systems, AI, and IT platforms.
• Lead solution design from requirements through implementation, working with internal teams, vendors, and system integrators.
• Evaluate manufacturing technologies and platforms and provide recommendations aligned to business and operational needs.
• Identify opportunities to standardize, optimize, automate, and digitally enable manufacturing processes.
• Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, solutioning, and technical presentations.
Qualifications & Experience
You bring strong manufacturing process knowledge combined with experience designing and implementing manufacturing technology solutions. You are able to translate how a factory operates into practical, scalable technology architectures and work effectively across manufacturing, engineering, IT, and OT. You bring in AI- know how to take manufacturing to autonomous operations.
Required Experience
