Job description

ABOUT BOON Boon is the professional AI platform built specifically for construction. Founded in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2023 by product and engineering leaders from Samsara, Apple, Google and DoorDash. Boon is backed by leading Silicon Valley venture capitalists. Our AI agents embed directly into existing workflows, from preconstruction estimating to bid management. They automate the repetitive tasks that drain time and margins while surfacing the insights leaders need to make faster and more confident decisions. The result is measurable impact. Teams move faster, bids are submitted sooner, win rates increase, and costs are reduced. Boon enables construction companies to build more, generate more revenue, and grow with confidence. ABOUT THE ROLE As an Account Executive at Boon, you'll join a small, close-knit team and own customer engagements end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification to close. You'll be selling AI-powered preconstruction tools — takeoffs, bid leveling, clash detection — to general contractors and subcontractors who are still buried in manual, error-prone estimating work. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across general contractors, subcontractors, and specialty trades. - Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, including calls, emails, events, conferences, and online outreach. - Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close, including demos, proposals, proof of concepts, and negotiations. - Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to understand workflows and position Boon solutions to improve bidding accuracy and efficiency. - Manage pipeline health, forecasting, and account strategy to achieve sales goals and maximize growth opportunities. - Drive customer expansion and retention by building strong relationships and identifying opportunities across offices, divisions, and teams. YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF: - You want to make a meaningful impact by helping modernize the construction industry and improve how contractors build and bid. - You are excited by the opportunity to help bring AI to a large, historically underserved market and contribute to a fast growing company. - You enjoy building relationships and are energized by a mix of outbound prospecting and closing. - You are naturally curious and enjoy deeply understanding customer pain points and workflows to better solve problems. - You are resilient, coachable, and view rejection as part of the process and a pathway to success. - You thrive in high growth environments, care deeply about customers, and want strong opportunities for career growth while contributing to a collaborative team culture. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE: - 4+ years of sales experience, with a track record of success in a quota-carrying capacity. - Possess a hunter sales mentality with a strong desire to win, and a proven track record of prospecting, closing new logos, and landing accounts against incumbents. - Effective communication skills, including the ability to build rapport, nurture relationships, and deliver compelling presentations. - Ability to thrive in a dynamic, competitive, fast-paced startup environment. - Tenacity, drive to learn, and a self-motivated attitude. - Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams. - Construction, ConTech, or AEC sales experience is a strong plus. All applicants for positions at Boon will be treated without regard to race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, marital status, veteran status, pregnancy, or any other basis prohibited by applicable law.
