Job description

Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs. Google’s global infrastructure is the foundation for our AI innovation, powering the world’s most advanced computing services at scale. As a Technical Program Manager in Central Product Operations, you will bridge our AI strategic goals with hardware development and supply chain execution. You will drive cross-organizational programs, providing strategic guidance and integrating AI-driven workflows to enhance efficiency and scale. By partnering closely with engineering and product teams, you will translate ambiguous objectives into measurable outcomes, ensuring the successful delivery of next-generation AI hardware. Our Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team designs and builds the hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services. Our computational challenges are complex and unique, enabled by cutting-edge custom hardware designed and made in-house. As a hardware engineer, you will design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You will see those systems from concept all the way through to high-volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers, affecting millions of Google users.
