Staff Product Manager at NexHealth

Job description

About NexHealth Our healthcare system remains frustratingly analog. When you live in a world of one-tap car rides, instant meal delivery, and unlimited streaming, why do you still have to call to schedule a doctor’s appointment and fill out a clipboard in the waiting room? NexHealth’s mission is to accelerate innovation in healthcare by connecting patients, providers, and developers. We’re building the infrastructure layer for modern healthcare, connecting thousands of fragmented, on-premise, and closed EHR systems into a single, modern platform that powers software, APIs, payments, and patient experiences across the ecosystem. Founded: 2017 Headquarters: San Francisco, CA Funding: $177M Series C Employees: 200+ Trusted by tens of thousands of providers and hundreds of health-tech developers — forging the infrastructure layer that modern healthcare needs About the Role Synchronizer is our unified API platform. One integration gives developers real-time read and write access to patient records, scheduling, insurance eligibility, ledger payments, forms, and clinical data across 15+ PMS platforms. It powers hundreds of healthtech companies across 10,000+ connected practice locations. Synchronizer is mission-critical infrastructure for our customers. That makes reliability, data fidelity, and developer experience the product. We're looking for this role to own the Synchronizer: its strategy, roadmap, and outcomes, from the sync engine that talks to each PMS to the endpoints, webhooks, docs, and sandbox developers build on. You'll influence which systems and data models we support next, how we meet enterprise-grade reliability expectations, and how we make integration fast for the next thousand developers. Your north star is product excellence: a platform developers trust enough to build their business on. You'll work closely with a dedicated engineering team, our integrations and data teams, and the Sales, Solutions, Partnerships, and Support teams who serve API customers every day. What You’ll Do Own the Synchronizer strategy and roadmap. Set the multi-year vision for our unified API and decide what to build across new PMS integrations, data domains, endpoints, and platform capabilities. Design and build exceptional end-to-end user experiences—from backend architecture to delivery mechanisms and UI layers. Partner with Design and Engineering through tight, fast build cycles. Make reliability and data fidelity first-class product features. Define and own platform metrics such as sync latency, write-back success rate, uptime, and error rates. Work with Engineering on SLAs, observability, and incident learnings that enterprise customers can rely on. Embed with Sales, Customer Success, and GTM teams to support launch, pricing and packaging, adoption, and feedback loops. Partner with integrations and partnerships teams to prioritize new systems and deepen coverage on existing ones, balancing technical constraints, vendor relationships, and customer demand. Make HIPAA, data privacy, and security requirements part of how the product is designed, not an afterthought. What Success Looks Like You make the product objectively better for our users every week. Developers love building on NexHealth. Systems are simple, elegant, and scale as the business grows. MVPs are launched weekly, not quarterly. Roadmaps reflect user pain and opportunity—not politics or revenue goals. You raise the bar for how the product is done at NexHealth. You bring clarity to complex product areas and elevate cross-functional execution. What You’ll Bring 8–12 years of product management experience, with significant time owning API, platform, or developer-facing products. Proven success operating at $100M–$500M+ scale and supporting complex GTM motions. Exceptional first-principles thinker and systems designer. Strong design thinking—able to move seamlessly from technical details to user experience. Experience building and scaling API-first products for a developer ecosystem. Technical depth to go deep with engineers on API design, data synchronization, event-driven systems, and distributed-system tradeoffs; you can read API docs and write a request yourself. Experience with development ecosystem and APIs. Deep ownership mentality: you act like a founder, not a feature PM. Bias for clarity, speed, and simplicity over process and polish. Ability to thrive in ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize, and deliver real results fast. Why Now We’re in Step 3 of NexHealth’s growth journey—scaling our platform and operations. We’re not hiring you to optimize revenue—we’re hiring you to build the best products possible. How Nexers Work Ownership : End-to-end accountability from idea to adoption. First Principles Thinking : Simplifies complexity into clear execution. Execute and Deliver : Fast cycles, no fluff. Raise the Bar : Constantly questions what “great” should be. Company First Mentality : Focused on mission, not ego. Architects of Scale : Designs for today, builds for long-term. You Might Thrive Here If You believe a great product is the best growth strategy. You’ve built at scale, not just prototypes. You care about outcomes, not vanity delivery. You move faster with less structure—and create your own clarity. You want to help shape the future of healthcare infrastructure. Compensation Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just the base salary component of NexHealth’s total compensation package for employees. Other benefits may include stock options, an unlimited paid time off policy, and up to 100% coverage on medical, vision and dental insurance. It’s easy to make decisions that make our lives simpler, but not the customers. Do the things others are not willing to do As a Nexer, always go after the hardest problems. Pursue things at the highest quality. Move at the fastest pace. Take ownership Act like a founder. Own your roles, destinies, mistakes, behavior, and our mission. The buck stops with each of us - no blaming or excuses. Say what’s on your mind, with positive intent Be direct, proactive, transparent, and frequent in your communication. Default trust As a Nexer, you do not have to earn trust, trust is given to you by default. If we by default trust each other, our speed of communication, feedback, information sharing, and overall improvements will be a lot faster. Think in first principles We first identify the problem and then break it down to its fundamentals before diving into solutions. We constantly ask “why” to validate our assumptions.
