Job description
WHO WE ARE
Our mission is to make the world programmable. Sight is one of the key ways we understand the world, and soon this will be true for the software we use, too.
We’re building the tools, community, and resources needed to make the world programmable with artificial intelligence. Roboflow simplifies building and using computer vision models. Today, over 1M+ developers, including those from half the Fortune 100, use Roboflow’s machine learning open source and hosted tools. That includes counting cells blog.roboflow.com to accelerate cancer research, improving construction site safety blog.roboflow.com, digitizing floor plans blog.roboflow.com, preserving coral reef populations blog.roboflow.com, guiding drone flight blog.roboflow.com, and much more roboflow.com.
Roboflow is supported by great customers and investors, having raised over 63 million from Y Combinator, Google Ventures, Craft Ventures, Sam Altman, Lachy Groom, amongst other leading software investors.
Roboflowers are passionate builders who value ownership, accountability, and a bias toward action. We're curious, hands-on with new tech, and prefer showing our work over talking about it. Many of us have a founder mindset and thrive in our high-autonomy environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a highly skilled and customer-focused Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in working alongside our sales team to engage prospects, qualify opportunities, and design edge-based computer vision solutions. As the primary technical resource in the pre-sales phase, the Solutions Architect will help identify prospective client needs, define technical requirements, and create compelling, scalable solutions that leverage our cutting-edge computer vision platform.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Opportunity Qualification: Collaborate with sales representatives to assess the technical feasibility and compatibility of potential projects with our computer vision solutions. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their business objectives, technical constraints, and use cases.
- Solution Design: Design tailored solutions that meet customer requirements by selecting and integrating appropriate components across hardware, software, and edge deployment configurations. Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices for computer vision.
- Technical Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our computer vision platform, including its technical specifications, deployment methodologies, and customization options. Provide guidance on edge deployments, data handling, model inference, and integrations with client infrastructure.
- Demo and Proof of Concept (POC): Lead technical demonstrations and POCs to showcase product capabilities and benefits. This includes configuring demo environments, guiding clients through the technology, and troubleshooting any technical issues.
- Customer Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for technical discussions, addressing client inquiries about the product’s architecture, APIs, security, scalability, and deployment scenarios.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback, identify product improvements, and advocate for features that would enhance our solution’s ability to meet client needs.
The Skillset You’ll Bring:
- Experience in solutions architecture, technical sales engineering, or related role, preferably in a computer vision, AI, or IoT-focused company.
- Industry experience working directly in or with one or more of Roboflow’s target markets, including but not limited to manufacturing, automotive, logistics, food processing, retail
- Expertise in designing edge-based solutions and understanding of the unique constraints and challenges associated with edge computing.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-oriented solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of computer vision, machine learning, and associated technologies.
- Experience with cloud and edge infrastructure, ideally including AWS, Azure IoT, or other edge platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python and JavaScript
- Willingness to travel ~40%
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working within a pre-sales or go-to-market team.
- Familiarity with common data processing and computer vision frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach and the ability to think on your feet.
