Job description
Who we are
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.
Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. About the role
AI is moving off the screen and into physical operations and Samsara is building it. If you want to be a product manager enabling the transformation behind how the real world works, join us.
We connect the vehicles, equipment, sites, and people behind the physical operations that power our economy. Our platform collects more than 30 trillion data points a year from vehicles that travel 99.9% of U.S. roads, and we design our own hardware to capture it. That mix of hardware, real-world data, and AI is why we're building things no one else can. We don't start with a model; we start with the data, embedded hardware, and deep customer understanding that make AI valuable.
And it's working. Samsara crossed $2.1 billion in ARR last quarter, growing 30% year over year, and we've been GAAP profitable for four straight quarters. Adoption of our AI agents has grown 7x since June, and voice agents overtook chat within four weeks of launch. We're just getting started.
This is a remote role is open to candidates residing in the US.
Why the work matters
Physical operations is tough. The work is repetitive, it's hard to hire for, and when something goes wrong, people get hurt. Our customers make thousands of decisions a day about whether people get home safely and whether deliveries and essential services keep running.
How we hire
We hire product managers into Samsara first and match you with the team and problem where you'll have the most impact. Problem spaces evolve consistently here and what's most important is your excitement about what and how Samsara is building.
You'll meet our Product leaders early in the process and your ultimate manager toward the end, so you get a real view of the whole org.
What you'll do
Spend time in the field with customers, find the problems that matter most, and rally the troops with a strong perspective on what to build next.
Build with AI every day: prototype, test, ship fast, and keep pushing what the newest models can do.
Work across hardware, software, and AI teams to ship products customers pay for.
Own outcomes end to end, measured in customer impact and revenue.
You'll thrive here if
You've shipped products customers pay for and can show, with numbers, the impact you personally drove.
You use AI tools daily and get excited when a new model changes what's possible.
You find your own problems to work on and take full ownership of the outcome.
You have strong commercial instincts and want to understand how the product gets sold.
You have conviction and can move a room quickly, but low ego in changing your mind when someone else is right (or more right).
If that sounds like you, let's go. The compensation range shown spans approved pay zones for this role. Your primary work location determines the range applicable to you, which may be narrower than the full range displayed.
The range of annual base salary for full-time employees for this position is below. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including your city of residence, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is also eligible for an initial RSU grant with no vesting cliff, and ongoing refresh opportunities tied to performance, subject to plan terms and conditions. Learn more about our total rewards and benefits below. Annual Base Salary $130,602 — $219,500 USD Total Rewards
At Samsara, we build for the people who keep the global economy moving. We want owners, not passengers, which is why our rewards are designed to fuel high-impact builders. Our compensation program delivers above-market total compensation through a combination of base salary, performance-based bonus/variable pay, and equity (for eligible roles) in a high-growth public company. We meaningfully differentiate pay for our top performers, who have the opportunity to earn above-market compensation that can outpace the broader market over time.
Beyond compensation, we provide the foundations that enable long-term success: a flexible, employee-led remote model, a professional development stipend, comprehensive health and parental leave plans, and more. If you’re ready to build for the long term and own the outcome, your journey starts here.
Flexible Working
At Samsara, we embrace a flexible working model that caters to the diverse needs of our teams. Our offices are open for those who prefer to work in-person and we also support remote work where it aligns with our operational requirements. For certain positions, being close to one of our offices or within a specific geographic area is important to facilitate collaboration, access to resources, or alignment with our service regions. In these cases, the job description will clearly indicate any working location requirements. Our goal is to ensure that all members of our team can contribute effectively, whether they are working on-site, in a hybrid model, or fully remotely. All offers of employment are contingent upon an individual’s ability to secure and maintain the legal right to work at the company and in the specified work location, if applicable.
