Job description

About the Role Roger is an AI platform that frees home health clinicians from paperwork so they can focus on what matters: delivering life-changing care to our most vulnerable elderly patients in the comfort of their homes. Backed by leading healthcare investors like SignalFire, we've powered millions of visits, deployed to thousands of clinicians, and we're just getting started. We are growing rapidly, backed by world-class investors, and shipping new capabilities into real clinical workflows every week. We are now looking for Software Engineers to scale the core services that power our platform and build entirely new Generative AI and LLM-driven workflows that clinicians will depend on every day. If you want to solve meaningful engineering challenges, work with production LLMs, and build software that directly improves patient care, we would love to talk. What You'll Do - Build and ship backend services using FastAPI with MongoDB or Postgres - Help build APIs and infrastructure that connect to LLMs and Generative AI models - Use AI-assisted development tools to move faster while keeping quality high - Turn early prototypes and MVPs into reliable, secure production systems, with guidance from senior engineers - Contribute to better observability, testing, and code quality across our backend - Deploy and run services with Docker and AWS - Pair with senior engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and real production work You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience - Solid backend fundamentals, ideally in Python (APIs, databases, basic system design) - Curiosity about Generative AI and LLM-powered products, and hands-on experimentation with them (personal projects count) - Familiarity with tools like Docker or cloud platforms, or a real interest in learning them - Comfort using AI coding tools and the judgment to review and verify what they produce - A product mindset and willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and work with cross-functional teammates - Ownership over your work and care for reliability, clarity, and maintainability Why Join Us? 🏥 Platinum health, dental, and vision insurance 🏖️ Unlimited PTO 💰 Retirement: 401(k) plan 🤖 Be at the forefront of LLM innovation in healthcare 🚀 Founded by AI Researchers from Cornell and Amazon Alexa 👩‍⚕️ Make a tangible difference in the lives of clinicians and patients 🧠 Work on a mission that matters, backed by AI innovation and top-tier investors Make a Real Difference: Hear from our Users 👨‍⚕️ “If I had to give Roger a rating out of 10, I’d give it an 11! You guys changed my life!!” - G.M. from San Francisco, Registered Nurse 👩‍⚕️ “Roger AI saves me hours per day. I can easily focus on my patients now too.” - J.L. from Tucson, Registered Nurse 👩‍⚕️ “Being a single mom is tough, but with Roger I can take the time to go to my daughter’s soccer game and also pursue further education.” - T.M. from Dallas, Licensed Vocational Nurse If you're interested in joining a fast-growing healthcare AI startup, we'd love to hear from you TODAY!
