Job description

ABOUT THE ROLE As Director of Business Operations, you’ll own the systems, data, and technology foundation that powers The Suite’s growth. You’ll lead our business tools and processes, set standards for how internal technology is built and maintained, manage email infrastructure, deliver unified business intelligence, and drive internal AI enablement. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on efficiency, decision-making, and how the company works. RESPONSIBILITIES - Own The Suite’s business systems stack (Claude, OpenAI, HubSpot, Airtable, Zapier, n8n, Slack, Google Workspace, Ramp, Chargebee, Gatsby, and related tools) and set its roadmap. - Set and enforce standards for how internal tools, automations, and agents are built, owned, documented, and retired, so the stack is less fragile and has fewer single points of failure. - Regularly audit our home-built Airtable systems, decide what to keep, improve, migrate, or rebuild, and carry out those plans. - Map and improve cross-functional processes. Cut redundant tools, duplicate automations, unnecessary notifications, and non-essential meetings. - Lead the Business Operations team, including IT helpdesk, Airtable maintenance, vendor management, and process documentation. - Lead a remediation plan for company-wide email deliverability, covering domain authentication, sending domain and IP strategy, campaign coordination, list hygiene, and monitoring. - Partner with Engineering to build and maintain a unified data layer across HubSpot, Postgres, Airtable, and other sources. - Own The Suite’s AI Transformation and Enablement program. Pilot new tools and put the ones that solve real business needs into regular use. - Lead the cross-functional AI Enablement team. - Support the deployment of team-built AI automations and agents to company standards, and retire them when they’re no longer needed. QUALIFICATIONS - Proven experience designing and running business systems at scale, ideally in SaaS or high-growth companies. - Hands-on expertise with a modern operations stack, such as HubSpot, Airtable, Zapier, n8n, Google Workspace, Ramp, and Chargebee. - Experience building AI agents and helping others build them. Experience piloting internal AI initiatives and putting them into regular use is required. - A track record of auditing complex automation environments, retiring technical debt, and setting documentation and tool standards. - Deep knowledge of email deliverability infrastructure and best practices. - Experience combining multiple data sources into unified reporting, for example from HubSpot, Postgres, and Airtable. - Experience leading operations teams and driving change across functions. - Strategic thinking and clear communication. About The Suite We are a team of ~80 of the world’s greatest community builders and technologists. We build high-quality and highly-curated professional communities. We run two of these communities today, including our flagship The L Suite lsuite.co / TechGC techgc.co, which is a private, invite-only community for General Counsels / Chief Legal Officers and their teams at high-growth tech companies and venture funds, and The F Suite fsuite.co, which is a private, invite-only community for Chief Financial Officers and their teams. We currently have 5,000+ active members across our communities, representing C-Suite executives and their deputies from most of today’s leading tech companies (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Airbnb, Slack, Coinbase, Uber, Notion, Bolt, Figma, Airtable, Dropbox, Bilt, Datadog, etc.) and venture funds (e.g., a16z, Softbank, Tiger, Accel, Thrive, Battery Ventures, FirstMark, Kleiner Perkins, Insight, etc.). Each of our communities is unique, but they are all underpinned by our custom-built member platform - the Braintrust. The Braintrust has rapidly emerged as the next evolution of the professional community platform, powering real-time conversations with the right peers at the right time as well as personalized research, insights, and strategies. The Braintrust is one of the strategic pillars supporting our mission to help today’s business leaders excel in their jobs with better and faster answers to their most pressing challenges. We are a well-funded, profitable, and rapidly scaling startup with a high-impact team. What Makes Us Unique We fill a painful hole in the market at an unprecedented time in history. As executives are being pressured to master AI and “do more with less” while at the same time navigating an increasingly complex business environment, the right information and perspective has become harder and harder to find. The dominant networking platforms of the day are too broad and diluted to be effective resources, and it has become difficult to parse through the noise and misinformation to hone in on what really matters. Executives are rapidly retreating back to private, trusted communities for their information, support, and their most interesting conversations. That’s where we come in. We connect executives to their most valuable resource - their peers - through a highly-curated collection of professional communities. In addition to attending live events, our members get access to the Braintrust, which is a comprehensive research and curated networking platform enhanced by Lloyd (our community-powered AI agent). After logging in, members are immediately connected with their closest peers, and are able to leverage their knowledge and experience for advice, service provider recommendations, benchmarking data, peer coaching/mentorship, and much more. The Braintrust also features a resource library with hundreds of educational videos, templates, and other materials from our community events. Ready to join us? Fill out an application below.
