ABOUT THE ROLE A growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients, including early-stage businesses and established companies. This position offers exposure to multiple industries and the opportunity to build strong client relationships. The Senior Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting, deliver accurate financial statements, and use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accounting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, client service experience, and an interest in emerging technology. This is a full-time, in-person position in New York City, offering a base salary of $90, 000 $120, 000, depending on experience. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage full-cycle accounting across multiple client engagements.Execute month-end close activities and maintain accurate general ledgers.Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and historical accounting cleanup.Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Review automated accounting outputs for accuracy and completeness.Translate financial results into clear reporting and actionable client insights.Manage client communication, outstanding requests, and engagement deadlines.Improve accounting workflows using AI-enabled tools and automation.Collaborate with technology teams to enhance accounting tools and processes.
