Job description

IntellectEU is an international technology company focused on digital finance and emerging technologies. We are committed to our people and believe in building a better future with the newest technologies. We give rising talent and industry veterans the space to explore, launch ideas, and collaborate closely with our clients. With our technical hands-on experience in payments, blockchain and capital markets, there’s no challenge that’s left unsolved. Over the past two decades, we have earned our expertise in financial technology, executing on hundreds of complex integrations and co-creating new digital asset platforms alongside our clients. We are seeking an ambitious, strategic Head of Sales to lead our sales organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for expanding our footprint in the financial sector, specifically across banking, financial infrastructure, digital assets, and payments-related services. This is a player-coach role; you will scale our business development processes into a high-performing engine while remaining personally active in the field, carrying a personal quota, and directly closing strategic enterprise accounts. You will oversee the identification, development, and qualification of new logo opportunities across financial services, ensuring both you and your team maintain deep trust and momentum as deals move from initial execution to long-term relationship management. Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and inspire a growing sales team, setting clear performance benchmarks, providing ongoing coaching, and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture. Actively prospect, qualify, and close high-value enterprise accounts within the financial sector, leading by example and carrying an individual revenue quota. Partner closely with the CEO to define commercial strategies, present quarterly performance to stakeholders, and align sales targets with the company's broader vision. Maintain deep engagement throughout deal execution to ensure seamless continuity of trust and momentum with enterprise financial clients. Standardize the sales methodology, pipeline stages, playbook, and onboarding processes to rapidly ramp up incoming team members. Recruit, train, and manage sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on enterprise pipeline velocity. Partner with Marketing to scale lead-generation engines and with Product to loop financial client feedback directly into the development roadmap. Manage the sales budget and P&L, leading and driving financial accountability across the sales organization. Requirements: 10+ years of sales experience within the financial sector, with at least 2+ years of leadership experience driving commercial growth while maintaining a strong individual track record of hitting personal quotas. Experience selling complex, multi-stakeholder professional services or technology solutions with 6–12 month sales cycles Demonstrated success in outbound sales and business development, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and driving opportunities through the full sales cycle. Ability to translate complex technical delivery metrics into high-level business outcomes for executive stakeholders. Comfortable leading internal delivery teams and external client stakeholders through the friction of long-term digital transformation. Sharp communicator and negotiator, able to influence senior stakeholders, navigate difficult conversations, and maintain trust over long sales cycles Skilled at managing account P&L, contract renewals, and complex commercial frameworks. Experience managing team budgets and overseeing financial accountability. Nice to Have: Spanish language proficiency is highly valued. Deep knowledge of banking, financial infrastructure, and payments services. Expertise selling blockchain technology and digital assets solutions. Experience reporting directly to a CEO, founder, or executive stakeholders, with a track record of translating corporate vision into an actionable commercial roadmap.
