Job description

Territory Sales Manager – HVACR Distribution (Milan) Fieldpiece is a privately held, global leader in professional HVACR tools and test instruments. For more than 35 years, we've developed innovative products that HVACR professionals trust every day to diagnose, repair, and maintain critical systems. We’ve been growing market share in Europe since 2020 and adding to our sales team in Italy. We're looking for entrepreneurial sales professionals who want the freedom to build your distributor network, develop strong customer relationships, and make a meaningful impact within the HVACR tools and instruments space. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature territory and simply maintain existing accounts. You'll own the growth for your territory by identifying new distributor partners, strengthening existing relationships, and helping our customers grow their business with Fieldpiece products. You'll spend your time in the field meeting distributors, leaders of HVACR training schools, and service companies to develop the business, train sales teams, provide product demonstrations. You'll identify and drive new opportunities and become the trusted advisor your customers and distributors rely on. You'll have the autonomy to manage your territory like it's your own business while working alongside a collaborative international team that's committed to your success. This is an individual contributor position responsible for growing sales and does not have direct reports. You'll work remotely from home and must live within the Milan metropolitan area. Travel is an essential part of the role and typically includes 2–3 overnight trips per week to visit distributors, contractors, industry events, and customer locations throughout your territory. What You'll Do • Grow sales by developing relationships with existing and new HVACR distributors throughout your assigned territory. • Partner with distributor sales teams through product training, joint sales calls, demonstrations, and sales support. • Provide training to sales teams and HVACR technicians. • Identify new business opportunities and execute territory growth plans to increase market share. • Represent Fieldpiece at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows. • Manage your sales pipeline, market intelligence, and customer activity in CRM while collaborating closely with the broader EMEA sales team. In Your First Year, You Will • Become the trusted Fieldpiece expert for customers throughout your region and establish a strategic territory growth plan that delivers measurable business results. • Identify, onboard and build strong relationships with distributors across your territory. • 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience selling through distribution channels to grow revenue and market share. • Experience working in the HVACR industry or a closely related industry that sells through the same distributor network (such as tools, test & measurement, plumbing, electrical, industrial, or building products). • Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and provide training and technical product demonstrations. • Excellent training, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills. • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics. • Professional-level English with the ability to confidently communicate with international colleagues and fluency in Italian. • Willingness to travel extensively throughout your territory, including 2–3 overnight trips per week. Why You'll Enjoy Working at Fieldpiece • Join a privately held company focused on long-term growth rather than short-term results selling innovative products that customers trust and value. • Enjoy the autonomy of building your territory while being supported by an experienced international team. • Be part of a collaborative culture built on trust, respect, learning, and continuous improvement. • Excellent fixed plus variable compensation package and a car. Our Culture At Fieldpiece, our values shape how we work, collaborate, and serve our customers every day. We use the TURTL acronym to show that we believe in: • TRIBE – We collaborate, support one another, and win as a team. • Upfront Homework – We come prepared, begin with the end in mind and address obstacles with creativity, grit and tenacity. • Right Stuff – We deliver innovative solutions by seeing through the eyes of our customers and use purposeful critical thinking to lead to greatness. • Trust – We build strong relationships through credibility, accountability and transparency. • Lean – We embrace curiosity, continuous improvement, learning from failures and delivering results. • No Ego – We leave titles and egos at the door, value the best ideas regardless of where they come from, and work together with humility, openness, and mutual respect. At Fieldpiece, we're building more than innovative products - we're building careers. If you're looking for a place where your work matters and your contributions are recognized, we'd love to meet you.
