Job description

About the Company Our client builds AI systems that resolve customer issues for support and engineering teams at complex SaaS companies, where support leans heavily on engineering and engineers drown in escalations. Its agents use the customer's own code, logs, and internal systems to take a ticket from issue to fix, largely autonomously. They work wherever the work happens: the ticketing system, Slack, and the tools engineers and support already use. The company is live with a growing roster of fast-growing SaaS customers and recently closed a seed round co-led by top-tier venture firms. About the Role The company is hiring its first cohort of Founding SDRs to build the outbound motion from the ground up alongside a founder-led sales effort. This is a predominantly outbound role selling to a deeply technical audience: Heads of Support and Heads of Engineering at complex SaaS companies. Because the product requires customers to grant source code access, the bar for credibility with buyers is unusually high, and the right hire will know how to earn it. There is a clear, accelerated path to AE, and the founders are explicitly looking for future sales leaders, not just quota carriers. What You'll Own • Own the outbound motion end-to-end, identifying your strongest channel (events, high-volume email, or a combination) and executing against it to book 15 qualified meetings held per month • Prospect and engage Heads of Support and Heads of Engineering at complex SaaS companies across data infra, AI/ML infra, cybersecurity, and adjacent technical verticals • Qualify and advance opportunities through the sales cycle: first meeting, a two-to-four week pilot, and a two-to-three month commercial close • Sit next to the engineering team five days a week to absorb product conversations and develop the technical fluency needed to sell credibly to engineering buyers • Build outbound systems and approaches that become repeatable playbooks as the sales team scales • Collaborate directly with the founders to refine messaging, identify high-value targets, and share what you are hearing from the market Must-Have • Prior sales experience at a technical company selling to technical buyers, such as data infra, AI/ML infra, cybersecurity, or comparably complex products • Stable recent work history, including meaningful tenure in your most recent role • Available to work in-person in San Mateo, CA five days a week Key Details • Location: San Mateo, CA – SF Bay Area (in-person, 5 days/week) • Employment: Full-time • Experience: 3+ years • Base Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 USD • Variable: $35,000 – $40,000, for $120,000 – $140,000 OTE, uncapped with accelerators above quota • Visa Sponsorship: Not available Benefits & Perks • Accelerated path to AE • Uncapped commission with accelerators above quota Interview Process • First call with the founder • Short prep check-in • Onsite interview • Offer
