We're looking for a highly hands-on Marketing Director to help shape our next phase of product innovation, international expansion, and brand growth.
We're a small, scrappy organization where every role has meaningful ownership and impact. There aren't layers of people or resources between an idea and execution—and that's very much true of this role. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with our Head of Brand, you'll own marketing from strategy through execution: setting priorities, building the plan, making thoughtful decisions about where we invest, and connecting marketing activity and spend to measurable business outcomes.
This is a senior role in terms of ownership and impact, but an individual-contributor role. You'll move fluidly between big-picture brand and growth strategy and the tactical, day-to-day work required to bring it to life. We work with agency and freelance partners where they add value, but we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys rolling up their sleeves and doing the work.
You'll collaborate closely across Product Development, Sales, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Leadership. If you deeply appreciate brand, bring strong commercial instincts, and thrive in a fast-moving environment where you can create clarity, make smart decisions with limited resources, and directly see the impact of your work, you'll probably feel right at home here.
What You'll Do
Own marketing from strategy through execution: Set priorities and develop plans, while remaining deeply hands-on in bringing them to life across channels and our portfolio in the U.S., Europe, and emerging markets. This role requires comfort moving fluidly between strategic decisions and tactical execution.
Lead marketing initiatives from concept through execution across digital, social, email, product launches, consumer marketing, partnerships, events, and customer marketing.
Bring greater discipline and accountability to marketing by establishing KPIs, measuring ROI, and helping prioritize where we invest our time and budget.
Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Sales, and Leadership to successfully commercialize new products and support customer launches.
Collaborate with Sales to develop retail, foodservice, eCommerce, and shopper marketing initiatives that strengthen the path to purchase.
Adapt marketing strategies for new products, new customers, and new international markets.
Manage agencies, freelancers, and vendors while remaining comfortable doing the work yourself when needed.
Continuously improve marketing planning, prioritization, and execution to maximize impact in a lean organization.
You'll Probably Love This Job If...
You can't walk through Whole Foods, Costco, or Target without noticing new products, packaging, or merchandising displays.
You're equally energized by building strategy and executing the work.
You naturally ask, "How will we know if this worked?" before approving the next marketing initiative.
You know great marketing isn't about spending the biggest budget—it's about making every dollar count.
You enjoy working across disciplines and understand the best product launches happen when Marketing, Sales, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations are aligned.
You thrive in environments where there isn't always a playbook.
You're comfortable challenging ideas, backing up your recommendations with data, and changing course when the facts tell you to.
What You'll Bring
8+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in consumer marketing, with demonstrated ownership of brand strategy, commercialization, product launches, and integrated marketing initiatives—not simply supporting them.
Builder/operator mindset: Energized by lean, resource-constrained environments where you may personally execute work that would be delegated to specialized teams in a larger organization.
Demonstrated success launching products, supporting commercial growth, or entering new markets. Experience across multiple SKUs and international markets (particularly Europe) is strongly preferred.
Understanding of shopper marketing, retail activation, and the consumer path to purchase.
Strong analytical skills with experience measuring campaign effectiveness, marketing ROI, and business performance.
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
A naturally curious, resourceful, and commercially minded approach—you enjoy solving problems and finding practical ways to move the business forward.
