Venteon is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to fill an opening with a company located in Troy, MI. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY Join a dynamic team in a full-time, direct-hire role with a company specializing in power and lighting distribution systems. Work in an in-office environment with opportunities to collaborate across departments. Contribute to projects under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff. Manage and coordinate project teams, including 3D modelers and 2D drafters. Play a key role in reviewing and developing project specifications and production submittals. Assist in the estimating process by participating in jobsite walk-throughs and generating bill of materials. Take on additional tasks and duties as assigned by management. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Designing and coordinating power and lighting distribution systems to meet project specifications. Managing and scheduling VDC/BIM modelers and 2D drafters. Reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications under the guidance of a PE. Generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications. Assisting in the estimating process for electrical contractors by attending jobsite walk-throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials. Completing other tasks and duties as assigned by management. WHAT IS REQUIRED Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3 years of electrical experience. Experience with power and lighting distribution. Strong skills and proficiency in Revit software. Proven experience with reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications. Experience generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications. Experience with walk-throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials. Self-directed with the ability to manage others. Strong communication skills. Ability to work cohesively with other departments. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion. Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to jobsites in multiple states. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 2-5 years minimum experience with an electrical contracting company. Experience with an Architectural/Engineering firm.
