About SkyPilot
SkyPilot accelerates the world's most ambitious AI teams. SkyPilot turns fragmented AI compute across clusters into one optimized, highly available and easy-to-use pool: a single AI supercomputer.
SkyPilot (10k+ GitHub stars, 18M+ downloads) manages the GPU fleets of 100s of companies, from Fortune 500s to top AI-natives like Abridge, Applied Compute, Mistral, Unconventional AI, H Company, and Nubank, with usage growing exponentially. Born in the UC Berkeley lab behind Spark and Databricks, our growing team includes top-tier talent from Databricks, Google, Berkeley, MIT, CMU, and Cornell. To date, SkyPilot has raised over $20M in seed funding from top investors (incl. Lux, Coatue, Amplify) and operators (incl. Ali Ghodsi, Jeff Dean, Guillermo Rauch, Amjad Masad, Clem Delangue, Aaron Levie).
The role
SkyPilot sits in a fast-moving category, sold to a technical audience of ML and platform engineers, and we're hiring our first Product Marketing Manager to shape how the market understands us. This is a senior, full-stack role: you'll partner with the founders to sharpen SkyPilot's positioning, define who we sell to and why, and build the materials and demand engine that turn our story into pipeline. As our first marketer, you'll set the tone for how SkyPilot talks about itself at scale and turn the narrative into revenue.
What you'll do
• Build product marketing from the ground up : partner with the founders to sharpen how SkyPilot is understood — the category, the narrative, and why we win — and turn it into a messaging system that lands consistently with ML and platform engineers.
• Define the ICP : sharpen who we sell to and why, and hand the growth team a target definition they can operationalize into pipeline.
• Build the enablement layer : create the pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, competitive material, and launch content the Account Executive and GTM Specialist actually use.
• Drive demand strategy : shape campaigns and launches, partner with the growth Specialist on execution, and measure what moves pipeline.
What we're looking for
• You're a full-stack product marketer who can own positioning end to end, from the narrative to the sales deck to the launch.
• A storyteller with an operational backbone: you write the message and build the system that ships it.
• Genuine fluency in AI and infrastructure — you can go deep with technical buyers and earn their trust.
• You've owned product marketing for a technical product, with the launches and materials to show for it.
• Comfortable being the first and only marketer, setting the standard for everyone who follows.
What we offer
• Competitive compensation and equity.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage for you and your dependents.
• Company 401(k) plan.
• The chance to work with some of the best minds in cloud, distributed, and AI systems — with significant autonomy and ownership.
• A front-row seat at the latest open-source infra startup from Berkeley.
• Gourmet lunch & dinner for the team to do their best work.
Location: San Mateo, CA. Remote will be considered for exceptional candidates.
