Financial Accountant Location: Chicago, IL Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm Work Arrangement: Hybrid after initial onsite training (2 days onsite, 3 days remote) Pay Rate: $35–$40/hour / Permanent Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance and 40lk for eligible employees Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, tax and audit review, and quarterly financial analysis. This role works closely with accounting and asset management teams to ensure accurate reporting, investigate discrepancies, and meet critical deadlines. Key Responsibilities • Support year-end reporting by collecting and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, audits, and supporting documentation. • Analyze financial statements and tax returns to identify discrepancies, unusual items, and variances. • Perform quarterly financial analysis and investigate differences between projected and actual results. • Communicate with external accountants and internal teams to resolve reporting issues and obtain outstanding documentation. • Prepare ad hoc reports and perform financial analysis using Excel. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • 1–2 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit, or financial reporting. • Strong understanding of GAAP and the relationship between financial statements and tax returns. • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs. • Strong analytical, research, organizational, and problem-solving skills. #FO9
