Job description

ABOUT EDITED EDITED is the world’s leading AI-driven retail intelligence platform. We empower the world’s most successful brands and retailers with real-time decision making power. By connecting internal business and external market data, EDITED infuses intelligence into every retail decision. We help retailers increase margins, generate more sales, and drive better business outcomes through AI-powered market and enterprise intelligence that fuels automation. At EDITED, we foster a dynamic and inclusive culture where creativity thrives and collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our environment is dynamic and supportive, encouraging team members to take initiative, innovate, and continuously grow. We value diversity, transparency, and a shared commitment to excellence, creating a workplace where everyone's voice is heard and contributions are recognised. We believe that achieving a positive work-life balance is key to driving innovation and success. Our flexible working options—including hybrid working, flexible hours and a work from anywhere policy—empower our team to perform at their best. THE ROLE Retailers and brands use EDITED's market data to make pricing, assortment and trading decisions. More of them now want that data inside their own systems, through our API and our MCP server, which lets their AI tools query EDITED directly. So the person evaluating us is often a Head of Data, an Engineering lead or an Ecommerce tech lead, as well as the commercial buyer. We're hiring a Technical Account Executive to win those accounts. You'll report to our CRO and join a small new logo team. This is a full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role. You find the opportunities, run them and close them. It isn't pre-sales or Sales Engineering. What makes it different is that you can hold your own with a technical buyer on the first call and still take a commercial deal all the way to signature. You don't need to know retail yet. We'll teach you. You do need to know how to sell B2B SaaS and close. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Build and run outbound into target accounts, including technical people who ignore a standard commercial pitch - Run discovery with commercial and technical stakeholders to understand the problem they're solving and how our data would fit into their stack - Walk a prospect's Data or Engineering lead through how our API and MCP server work, and know when to bring in product for deeper questions - Write and present proposals that make the commercial case and the technical case in the same deal - Negotiate and close, working with legal, finance and P&E on contracts - Forecast your pipeline accurately and keep the CRM up to date - Build relationships with senior and technical decision-makers in each account WHAT YOU'LL NEED - 4 + years in a full-cycle, quota-carrying B2B SaaS sales role, winning new logos yourself. Pre-sales, Sales Engineering or solutions consulting experience on its own isn't enough for this role. - A track record against quota you can talk through in numbers: targets, attainment, deal sizes and sales cycles - Experience closing deals of $200,000 + ACV with mid-market and enterprise organisations, with several stakeholders and a procurement process - Experience selling technical products, such as APIs, data platforms, analytics or BI tools, developer tools or AI/ML products - Confidence in technical conversations about integrations, APIs, data pipelines or agentic AI tooling. You don't need to write code. You do need to understand how the pieces connect and keep control of the conversation when the questions get specific. - Strong commercial judgement. You qualify hard, you know where a deal really stands, and you can explain why in a forecast call. - Clear writing and presenting for commercial and technical audiences - Willingness to travel NICE TO HAVE - Experience selling to retailers, brands or ecommerce teams - Experience where Data, Engineering or Product teams were your main buyer What We Offer You As A Technical Sales Executive We value our team and to attract exceptional people, we offer an excellent package! This year, we were recognised as one of the top companies to work for in the UK. - At EDITED we are set up to work remotely and can also offer hybrid working via our London and Sofia offices - Enhanced parental leave policy - 25 days annual leave + public holidays (and an extra day for every year at EDITED) - Healthcare via SimplyHealth Cash Plan - You can utilise our flexible working policy to ensure you can work around your schedule - Season Ticket Loan & Cycle to Work schemes - Access to an Employee Assistance Programme - Employee Referral Programme - Gifts for work anniversaries and big life events - Find out more here: edited.com edited.com Apply now and don't miss the opportunity to join our journey to revolutionise the retail industry! We do not use AI to source, screen, evaluate, or make decisions about candidates - every hiring decision is made by our team. We use Ashby, our applicant tracking system, which includes AI-assisted interview notetaking and automation for scheduling interviews and sending routine emails. These tools support our hiring process but do not make hiring decisions. We aim to be an equal opportunities employer and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
