Job description

Future Opportunity Posting: We are proactively building a pool of qualified candidates for anticipated hiring needs. There is no immediate opening at this time, but candidates who align with our needs may be contacted as opportunities arise. 🌍 ABOUT US NPX npxinnovation.ca partners with nuclear utilities and new reactor projects to unlock performance through innovation. We combine decades of nuclear operation expertise with AI, digital tools, and lean processes to help plants run safer, smarter, and more cost-effectively. Our Digital Transformation team scales this expertise through both NPX-developed and industry-leading products, delivering solutions to clients across Canada, the U.S., and globally. 🧠 THE ROLE As a Senior .NET Developer at NPX, you will own the design and evolution of mission-critical software systems that power digital transformation across the nuclear industry. You will operate at the intersection of application architecture, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence, building scalable, resilient systems designed to perform in high-stakes environments. Partnering closely with product leaders, nuclear domain experts, and fellow developers, you will translate complex operational challenges into robust technical solutions. From distributed backend services to cloud-native deployments and CI/CD pipelines, you’ll think beyond individual components and design with the full system in mind. This role requires strong ownership. You’ll lead architectural decisions, influence developer standards, and take accountability for solutions from concept through production. Success in this role means delivering software that is reliable, maintainable, and built to scale, while continuously raising the technical bar for the team. If you’re energized by autonomy, high standards, and meaningful impact in a critical industry, you’ll thrive here. Salary Range: $135-165k (Exact compensation may vary) 🎯 WHAT YOU’LL DRIVE - Own the architecture and technical direction of critical .NET systems across application and infrastructure layers. - Design and deliver cloud-native, distributed applications that power mission-critical nuclear industry workflows. - Architect for scalability, observability, and resilience — ensuring systems perform under real-world operational constraints. - Lead complex initiatives spanning application code, data layers, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment environments. - Partner with product and leadership to translate business objectives into scalable technical strategy. - Raise the engineering bar through rigorous code reviews, best practices, and operational excellence. - Proactively identify and eliminate systemic bottlenecks across code, pipelines, and environments. - Shape our technical roadmap across platform, reliability, and performance domains. ✨ WHAT YOU BRING - Full-System Ownership: You think beyond features - you consider infrastructure, reliability, and long-term maintainability. - Cloud & DevOps Fluency: You’re comfortable with CI/CD, containerization, cloud services, and production operations. - Distributed Systems Thinking: You design for scale, failure, and real-world constraints. - Execution Excellence: You deliver complex initiatives with measurable operational impact. - Technical Leadership: You influence architecture and raise engineering standards across teams. - Cultural Amplification: You strengthen our culture and role model our values. 🌿 WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE To do great work, you need to be well in mind, body, and soul. At NPX, we design our environment around the whole person, not just the job they do. - 🧠 Mind: Tools and support for mental wellness, professional growth, and financial security. - 🧘‍♀️ Body: Health coverage, a spending account, and the freedom to rest and recharge. - 🌀 Soul: Meaningful work, alignment with your values, and time to refresh with time off. - 💰👀 Financial wellbeing?
