Job description

The Cybersecurity Penetration Testing Intern with work with the Penetration testing department for 20 hours per week. This is a remote position. Essential Functions Include: Assist LMG Security Consultants with security assessments Work includes network, application, wireless, and web application security testing Support social engineering engagements such as phishing and vishing tests Assist with vulnerability scans and assessments Write technical reports Research new cyber security vulnerabilities and publish findings Document and help improve existing processes Other duties as assigned Education / Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university Enrolled in a Computer Science degree program is preferred Coursework in cybersecurity is preferred Solid understanding of cybersecurity, and motivation to further develop this understanding Required Skills: O utstanding attention to details Self-starter Passionate about cybersecurity Impeccable ethics Team player Able to adhere to strict cyber safety policies Excellent written and oral communication skills Problem solver Physical Requirements: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment Sitting for prolonged periods of time Specific assignments may require the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 30 pounds Specific assignments may require walking on uneven surfaces (such as grass) while carrying light to medium weight equipment, walking up/down stairs (sometimes long flights), occasional climbing, Occasional jogging/running Coverall Clause The preceding essential functions, qualifications, and physical requirements have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job description.
