Job description

ABOUT US Tavus tavus.io is an AI research lab pioneering human computing. We’re building PALs: a new kind of application that closes the gap between people and machines, free from the friction of today’s systems. Our real-time human simulation models let machines see, hear, respond, and even look real—enabling meaningful, face-to-face conversations. PALs combine the emotional intelligence of humans with the reach and reliability of machines, making them capable, trusted agents available 24/7, in every language, on our terms. Imagine a therapist anyone can afford. A personal trainer that adapts to your schedule. A fleet of medical assistants that can give every patient the attention they need. With Tavus, individuals, enterprises, and developers can all build PALs to connect, understand, and act with empathy at scale. We’re a Series B company backed by world-class investors including Sequoia Capital, Y Combinator, and Scale Venture Partners. Be part of shaping a future where humans and machines truly understand each other. ABOUT THE POSITION As Brand & Product Designer, you will be the connective tissue between how the world perceives Tavus and how they experience it. Reporting to the Head of Design, you’ll join our design team to lead our market-facing visual identity while maintaining a strategic footprint within the product itself. We aren't looking for a production artist. We’re looking for a holistic thinker who understands that a user’s journey doesn't start at the login screen; it starts with the first frame of a video or the first pixel of a landing page. You will spend roughly 80% of your time pushing the boundaries of our brand: crafting high-fidelity web experiences, cinematic marketing assets, and narrative-driven campaigns. The remaining 20% will be spent embedded within the product team, smoothing the seams between marketing and product and ensuring user journeys are cohesive from first impressions through the user lifecycle. WHAT YOU’LL DO Champion the Brand: Lovingly and relentlessly evolve the soul and spirit of Tavus across our website, social presence, and sales collateral. You’ll ensure our identity feels as bold, cinematic, and innovative as the bleeding-edge AI technology we build. Bridge the gap: Act as the ethos bridge between Marketing and Product. You’ll ensure visual fluency and a seamless design language that carries the user’s experience from their first ad-click to their 100th persona deployment. Iterate on growth: Use your product mindset to optimize high-traffic marketing surfaces. You’ll drive conversion not just through "hacks," but through world-class design, crisp storytelling, and a deep understanding of the user’s psychological journey, from prospect to power-user. Embed within Product: Spend ~20% of your time integrated with the product team. You’ll contribute to our design system and take ownership of high-visibility product moments – onboarding flows, empty states, etc – that require an extra layer of brand magic and visual polish. Set the standard: Continually push the ceiling for what quality looks like at Tavus. You’ll move fast to ship campaigns while maintaining an impeccable bar for IA, messaging logic, and typography. You aren't just making assets. You are defining Tavus’ identity. BENEFITS & CULTURE When you join Tavus, you’re joining a diverse and supportive team. Our work is driven by our people, and our success is shared by all. This position has a flexible work schedule, unlimited PTO, competitive healthcare, and gear stipends, as well as plenty of fun. At the end of the day, we want Tavus to be a place for you to learn, directly drive impact, and work with a team you love. Tavus is growing fast, and we’d like you to grow with us. If you’re excited to get your hands dirty and help make machines more human, drop your resume and we’ll be in touch. We are not looking for cultural fits, we are looking for culture creators. Diversity is what drives our success – it’s at the core of how we hire, communicate, and work. We are inclusive to all and combine our diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and perspectives to build the best experiences for our clients.
