Job description

The Role Linktree is evolving from a link-in-bio tool to the place creators and businesses run everything — a control center that helps them understand what's working across platforms and decide what to do next. Linktree's users live on their phones, and native mobile is where a huge amount of that value gets delivered: capturing content on the go, staying on top of their audience, getting coached in the moment on how to grow. We're raising our mobile bar across the whole product, and we need a Staff designer to lead that craft. Why This Role Matters This is our mobile craft anchor. Every experience pillar owns its own mobile and web surfaces — your job is to be the designer who sets and raises the native bar across all of them. It's a cross-pillar, influence-heavy role: you'll go deep where native truly wins and keep the app feeling like one coherent product, not five disconnected ones — so every pillar's mobile work gets better. What you'll do • Set and continually raise the bar for native iOS and Android across the entire product. • Own the mobile patterns and craft standards that every pillar builds on. • Go deep where native wins — capture, notifications, on-the-go coaching, gestures, performance, and motion. • Run cross-pillar mobile review so the experience stays coherent as teams ship fast. • Partner with Design Systems + Engineering to make mobile patterns real in code, and prototype your own ideas to production fidelity. • Lead through influence — lifting the mobile craft of designers across every pillar. What we’re looking for • An obsession with deep native mobile craft — fluency with iOS and Android conventions, gestures, motion, and performance-aware design. • Significant time shipping consumer mobile products at scale, across diverse user bases where you've learned to balance sophistication with everyday usability — with a portfolio that reflects it. • Staff-level scope: you set direction and raise the bar around you, not just ship your own screens. • Low ego, high collaboration — your craft serves the product. You partner with the pillar design leads rather than competing with them, and you're energized by raising the mobile craft bar across teams, not by owning product direction yourself. • Systems thinking — you design patterns that scale across surfaces and teams. • Influence without authority — you make other teams better without managing them. • AI as part of how you work (a baseline for us), with the depth to push our practice forward. • Sharp product judgment; empathy for creators and the creator economy is a plus. Your depth — and your range Mobile is your depth, and we want someone genuinely great at it. But the strongest mobile designers are strong product designers first — so we're looking for range too: the judgment to frame problems, the taste to know what's worth building, and the ability to work beyond native when the problem calls for it. Why Join Linktree • Be part of a rapidly growing company that's shaping the future of how people connect online. • Contribute to a product that impacts millions of users worldwide, driving innovation in digital experiences. • Enjoy a collaborative, inclusive, and creative work environment that values diversity and fosters professional growth. • Benefit from a competitive compensation package, flexible work arrangements, and a commitment to work-life balance. Linktree is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $200,000-$230,000 in the San Francisco Bay or Los Angeles area. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate expertise, the scope of role and level, and may vary from the amounts listed above. P.S. If you don’t tick every box in this listing, please don’t rule yourself out. We take pride in inclusion and hiring incredible human beings with great potential over ticking boxes – so if this role resonates with you, hit that apply button! Our Story We’re on a mission to empower anyone to curate, grow, and monetize their digital universe. We created the “link in bio” category — and we’re just getting started. From creators, artists, and entrepreneurs to global brands, we’re redefining how people connect with their communities, showcase their content and promote products — all in one link. Today, a community of 70+ million use Linktree, including icons like Adidas, TikTok, the UN Environmental Program, The NFL, Manchester United, World Central Kitchen, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, and Selena Gomez. With 48,000 new accounts created every day, Linktree is the fastest-growing leader in our space. We’ve teamed up with some of the world’s biggest platforms including TikTok, Snap, YouTube, GoFundMe, Spotify, Google, Stripe, Reddit, Laylo, and Kajabi, to unify Linkers’ digital spaces, and we partner with retail brands Amazon, Nike, Nordstrom, Target, Sephora, Vuori, and more to share products they love. We’re a tight-knit, passionate team building best-in-class tools that make online presence simple, powerful, and yours. If you're excited by the idea of shaping a new category, setting the standard, and making space for everyone to be seen and succeed, we’d love to meet you. Where and How We Work We're a global, diverse team spread across continents with offices in London, Los Angeles, Melbourne, and San Francisco. We offer autonomy in how you structure your days and weeks. While we’re mindful of time zones and occasionally collaborate outside the typical 9–5, we lean into async work to keep things flowing. Our culture is family-friendly and video-casual where kids, pets, and delivery drivers are welcome. How we’ll help you thrive Our approach to benefits considers the whole person and the unique contributions they bring to Linktree. We want the experience at Linktree to be one that enables people to truly thrive so we can Go Further Together (one of our values). Some ways we support you: • An annual wellbeing allowance to use on things like (but not limited to) fitness memberships, development courses, childcare, travel, charitable donations, pet insurance, home office set-up - the choice is yours! • 100% coverage (and 80% for your dependents) of your monthly premiums for medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance for US-based employees. • Employer contribution towards your retirement. • Generous time off for vacation, holidays, parental leave, volunteer time, and other categories. • Employee stock option program - we want each and every employee to share in the company’s success. At Linktree, we believe in promoting a culture that celebrates unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences, and we’re proud to be an equal opportunity workplace. We are creating an inclusive workplace where every individual feels valued, respected, and has equal opportunities to thrive. We aim to foster a diverse and inclusive environment where all team members have a sense of belonging. Linktree welcomes all people regardless of sex, gender identity, race, ethnicity, disability, pregnancy, age, or other lived experience.
