Role: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SFMC Developer with strong hands‐on expertise in designing, building, and supporting enterprise‐scale marketing automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, APIs, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio, and a proven track record of delivering personalized, data‐driven customer engagement campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and implement scalable solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud
· Build and optimize customer journeys using Journey Builder
· Develop dynamic, personalized email campaigns with AMPscript, SSJS, SQL, and HTML/CSS
· Create and manage Data Extensions, Contact Builder configurations, and audience segmentation
· Develop automations in Automation Studio (data imports, exports, scheduled activities)
· Integrate SFMC with Salesforce CRM and external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs
· Troubleshoot and resolve campaign, integration, and data‐related issues
· Collaborate with business and marketing stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
· Follow best practices for development, code reviews, testing, and deployment
Mandatory Skills
· 6+ years of hands‐on Salesforce Marketing Cloud development experience
· Strong expertise in:
· AMP script
· SQL
· Server‐Side JavaScript (SSJS)
· HTML/CSS for email development
· Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Contact Builder, Data Extensions
· Experience developing dynamic and personalized communications
· Hands‐on experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM and third‐party applications
· Strong understanding of REST and SOAP APIs
· Experience with Marketing Cloud Connect
· Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SFMC performance and automations
Preferred Skills
· Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer Certification
· Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist Certification
· Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / Customer 360
· Background in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries
· Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices for Salesforce platforms
