Applied AI Enablement Lead at Liminal

Job description

Liminal is the way regulated enterprises securely leverage generative AI. Liminal’s AI security, governance, and enablement platform gives customers the powerful workflow productivity tools they want to safely maximize the value of generative AI anywhere they work, while providing unparalleled data protection, administration, and observability capabilities. Visit our website at www.liminal.ai to hear from our customers Delta Dental and Northern Arizona Healthcare. Liminal is looking for a founding Applied AI Enablement Lead to turn secure AI access into everyday business value for our customers. Our platform gives regulated enterprises secure, governed access to leading AI models. But buying a platform and changing how people work are two very different things. This role exists to close that gap. You will build and lead our customer enablement function, serving as our primary AI cheerleader, educator, and trusted advisor. You will be the person who turns a skeptical compliance officer or hesitant knowledge worker into an enthusiastic AI advocate. You will teach non-technical employees how to use AI in their daily work, guide technical teams through essential integrations (like data source connections and SSO), and establish the playbooks and partner certification programs that allow Liminal to scale. This is a high-impact, customer-facing founding leadership role that sits within Customer Success. You will work weekly with our Chief Business Officer, VP of Sales, and Account Executives to drive account adoption, retention, and expansion. What You'll Do: 1. Drive Account Adoption & Growth Execute account enablement plans that take enterprise customers from initial rollout to broad usage, aiming for concrete outcomes, such as, driving weekly active usage from 20% to 70%+ within 90 days. Track user activation, feature adoption, and retention across assigned accounts to ensure deep, sustained product value. 2. Educate & Empower Users Lead engaging workshops, interactive lunch-and-learns, and targeted 1:1 sessions for knowledge workers who are new to generative AI, making concepts practical, safe, and approachable. Partner with business teams to identify high-value use cases and guide users in building custom AI assistants tailored to their daily workflows. 3. Guide Technical Setup & Integrations Walk customer IT and security stakeholders through connecting internal data sources, configuring SSO, and setting up custom assistants. Maintain a clear boundary: provide technical guidance and hands-on setup support to non-technical and IT users without acting as a Sales Engineer or technical architect. 4. Build & Scale the Enablement Function Establish foundational enablement playbooks, training collateral, and best practices that set the standard for customer success as Liminal grows. Design the vetting, training, and certification criteria for third-party partners to deliver Liminal enablement at scale while maintaining high adoption standards. Hire and mentor future enablement team members as customer demand scales. 5. Voice of the Customer & Expansion Partnership Work alongside Account Executives to identify expansion signals, grow usage within key accounts, and support renewal discussions. Synthesize user feedback and field insights to influence Product and Go-To-Market roadmaps. Requirements 6+ years in customer success, solutions consulting, technical enablement, or customer-facing GTM roles within B2B SaaS. Hands-on experience using AI tools, designing prompts, and building AI assistants in real-world workflows. Proven experience guiding customer IT and security teams through basic technical setups, such as data source connections and SSO integrations. Demonstrated ability to build, launch, or scale customer enablement, training, or partner certification programs. Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a track record of building enthusiasm and explaining emerging technology to non-technical audiences. Strong business acumen and experience owning outcomes tied to account adoption, retention, and revenue expansion in enterprise or mid-market segments. Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort building processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment. Nice to Have Background working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services, healthcare, insurance). Experience establishing partner or channel enablement programs. Compensation Base salary: $125,000 - $140,000, depending on experience. Variable compensation: 30% of target total compensation, yielding an estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $162,500 - $182,000, plus equity participation. How the variable plan works: Payout is based on performance against three primary metrics across your assigned book of accounts: Net Revenue Retention (NRR): Retention and growth of recurring revenue net of churn/contraction. Expansion ARR: New annual recurring revenue generated from upsells and cross-sells. Product Adoption & Engagement: Achievement of target user penetration metrics (e.g., reaching 60%+ Weekly Active Usage across key accounts). Our Values: We are kind. We assume positive intent, celebrate co-workers' success, avoid toxic behaviors, and call out bad acting when we see it. We earn trust by being authentic, humble, and empathetic. Empathy is the cornerstone of building trust, and trust is a requirement in a world that is certain to be full of change. We are fearless, bold, honest, direct, and candid. We dare to challenge assumptions and push boundaries, and are not afraid when someone challenges us. If we make mistakes, which we will, they are unique and good opportunities to learn. We value discourse, not dissonance. Constructive discourse is exceptionally healthy and desirable. Expect to be challenged and rise to the occasion! Create space for the best ideas to rise to the top and let data be the ultimate decision-maker, not emotion. We seek understanding, not consensus. As leaders, we stand firm in our informed convictions until data overturns them. It’s healthy to disagree, but we commit to the outcome. We are owners. We empower each other to solve problems and take the initiative to meet our goals. We are purposeful and intentional in our thinking and know that we are individually accountable for our impacts on the company's results. We are curious and passionate about learning and constantly seek opportunities to grow and develop. Our space changes daily, and we adapt and mature with it. Liminal is an equal-opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company. We don’t discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
