Company Description Farther is a rapidly growing RIA that combines expert advisors with cutting-edge technology - delivering a comprehensive, tailored wealth management experience. Farther’s founders are leaders and innovators from the private wealth industry who possess a unique blend of traditional wealth management, fintech, and technology production expertise. We’re backed by top-tier venture capital firms, fintech investors, and industry leaders. Joining Farther means joining a collaborative team of entrepreneurs who are passionate about helping their clients and our teammates achieve more. If you’re the type who breaks through walls to get things done the right way, we want to build the future of wealth management with you. The Role Multiple openings. As a Senior Software Engineer at Farther, you'll solve real business problems across our entire stack. You'll understand business objectives, ideate solutions, and deliver end-to-end. We're building an elite engineering team. We look for three things: deep technical expertise in your craft, high horsepower to rapidly context-switch across complex problems, and a track record of winning in multiple areas of your life. We operate differently than most companies. Engineers have real autonomy and ownership over their work – you'll make technical decisions, own outcomes, and be measured by results, not process. You'll have the flexibility to work how you work best, with the trust and freedom to get things done the right way. We're extremely bullish on AI as a force multiplier. We expect engineers to leverage AI tools throughout the development lifecycle – from ideation to implementation to testing. AI helps you ship faster, handle complexity better, and focus your energy on solving the hardest problems rather than writing boilerplate code. Your Impact Own and deliver features end-to-end, from understanding business requirements through production deployment Work across the full stack, building UIs, designing APIs, and architecting backend services Leverage AI tools to ship faster and multiply your effectiveness – use modern technology to accelerate every part of your workflow Jump into difficult problems with tenacity, whether production issues, complex debugging, or unfamiliar codebases Make autonomous technical decisions and own the outcomes – you have the freedom to choose the right approach Collaborate directly with product, design, and business stakeholders to solve user problems Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering best practices The Ideal Match 6+ years of software engineering experience working across the full stack Fluency with AI coding tools – you should already be using them to multiply your output and looking for ways to work smarter Self-directed and autonomous – you thrive with ownership, work independently on high-level guidance, and prefer results over rigid process Product-focused mindset – code exists to solve business problems, not for its own sake Outstanding communication – you explain complex concepts clearly and provide actionable updates Builder mentality – you ship working software and iterate, not write specs endlessly Tenacity to tackle difficult problems head-on Track record of winning in multiple areas of your life Bonus Points Experience building financial services, trading systems, or wealth management platforms Background in high-availability system design and real-time data processing Experience with event-driven architectures Knowledge of financial regulatory requirements and compliance Why Join Us Competitive comp package that rewards impact Work alongside some of the brightest minds in fintech Ground-floor opportunity at a fast-scaling startup Chart your own growth path as we expand Full health benefits + 401(k) matching & Roth IRA options Unlimited PTO An amazing collaborative atmosphere between product, design, and engineering to solve hard problems together 🚀 Want to learn more about building the future of wealth tech at Farther?
