Job description

About CoLab At CoLab, we help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner. We build AI for engineers designing cars, medical devices, and jet engines. Products this complex aren't sketched and sent to production. Teams spend months on iterations, reviews, and tests, predicting how every part performs before anything is built. CoLab is where those reviews happen, and we capture the rationale behind every change. Other tools show what changed between versions. Only CoLab knows why. That's how our AI helps manufacturers like Bobcat, Triumph Motorcycles, and GE Appliances make better decisions, eliminate rework cycles, and get to market faster. Proudly based in St. John’s, Newfoundland, CoLab started with one customer in 2018. Since then we’ve raised a $72M Series C , been named the 57th fastest growing company in North America by Deloitte ( Fast 500™ ), signed multi-year AI partnerships with companies like Bombardier , and grown to a team of 250+. Have a Mechanical Engineering Background? Let's Connect. You know what it takes to bring a complex product to life. You've been through the design reviews, the endless iterations, and the challenges of getting everyone on the same page. You've probably thought there has to be a better way. What if you could help build it? At CoLab, we're rethinking how engineering teams work, and your experience could help us get there. We're looking for people who understand engineering firsthand and want to use that knowledge to make a difference on a much bigger scale. Whether you're interested in working directly with customers, solving complex technical problems, or helping shape AI-powered software, there are different ways to put your engineering background to work at CoLab. Where You Could Make an Impact There are a few different ways your experience could translate into a career at CoLab. Here's what that could look like: Strategic Customer Value Manager: Work with engineering teams at major manufacturers to rethink how they operate, get more value from CoLab, and measure the impact on their business.Solutions Engineer: Use your technical background to help prospective customers see how CoLab could solve real engineering problems. You'll connect the challenges they face every day to what our technology makes possible.Customer Solutions Engineer: Help customers put CoLab into practice, improve existing workflows, and make meaningful changes to how their engineering teams work together. Mechanical Forward Deployed Engineer: Work directly with customers to tackle engineering problems that off-the-shelf software can't solve. Partner with our software engineers to build, test, and deploy solutions that bring AI into real-world engineering workflows. Mechanical Engineer: Use your hands-on engineering experience to help shape the future of CoLab's product. Bring an engineer's perspective to product development, test new AI capabilities against real engineering problems, and help ensure what we're building works for the people who'll use it. Account Executive: Help some of the world's largest manufacturers rethink how their engineering teams work. Combine your technical understanding with relationship-building and consultative selling to uncover customer challenges, demonstrate the value of CoLab, and bring new customers on board. Curious? We'd Love to Connect. If you're curious about what's next, enjoy figuring out hard problems, and believe the best work happens when people learn from each other, we'd love to hear from you. These aren't necessarily active openings, but we're always interested in meeting great people. Tell us a bit about your experience, what interests you about CoLab, and which areas you'd like to explore. We'll keep you in mind as opportunities come up. Note for students: CoLab hires students through direct partnerships with universities and colleges, working through their co-op and internship placement programs. We’re not reviewing applications through this posting—please connect with your school’s co-op or career office for opportunities with CoLab.
