Senior or Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure
AcuityMD is the AI platform for MedTech trusted by over 500 MedTech companies – including 16 of the top 20. Commercial leaders use AcuityMD to identify target markets, surface top opportunities, and grow their business. By combining real-world healthcare data with AI-powered insights, AcuityMD enables companies from pre-commercial to enterprise to understand where and how to sell faster to accelerate the adoption of medical technology. AcuityMD ranked No. 316 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America and was named to Forbes’ 2025 “Next Billion-Dollar Startups” list – an elite group of 25 venture-backed U.S. companies identified as most likely to reach a $1 billion valuation. AcuityMD is backed by Stepstone Group, Benchmark, Redpoint Ventures, ICONIQ, and Atreides Management.
We are a team of agentic builders who rely heavily on AI development practices to accelerate our ability to deliver value to our customers. We believe in extreme ownership and agency, where every engineer takes responsibility for working throughout the organization to land impact with customers. We're a close-knit team that enables high levels of autonomy by constantly communicating our intentions, sharing problems and learnings, and helping each other learn and grow.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be directly interacting with other teams across Engineering and production. Through collaboration, you’ll help design, build, and operate the platform primitives—compute, networking, storage, CI/CD, and developer tooling—that power our applications end-to-end. You’ll drive reliability, security, and efficiency while enabling a great developer experience. You’ll also contribute to our strategic goals as we evolve our infrastructure and our practices to maximize our internal and customer impact.
Team Mission
Our Platform Team is the backbone that keeps product teams shipping quickly and safely. We deliver direct customer value through our cloud capabilities and security. We impact internal success through partnerships with application teams and enabling a great development experience.
Responsibilities
Steward core platform services: Implement container orchestration, service mesh, ingress, and secrets management at scale.
Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Security to deliver external and internal value.
Harden reliability: Improve observability (logging, metrics, tracing), and automated remediation to increase availability and latency.
Automate everything: Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management to make systems and processes repeatable, auditable, and secure.
Scale cost-effectively: Optimize cluster utilization, autoscaling, and storage/networking to balance performance, reliability, and spend.
Level-up developer experience: Build internal tooling, templates, and golden paths that reduce cognitive load and time-to-first-deploy for product teams.
On-call & incident response: Participate in a sustainable on-call rotation, drive post-mortems, eliminate toil, and reduce MTTR via automation.
Enable fast, safe delivery: Evolve CI/CD pipelines (build/test/release), and environment strategies (dev/stage/prod).
AI : You instinctively build using agentic tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc) and are invested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible with agentic development

The Product: AcuityMD uses data and software to help teams collaborate around the complex relationships they have with the users of medical technologies: doctors. Our platform empowers medical technology companies to see how their products are used, understand why outcomes vary, and identify opportunities where physicians or sites of care can better serve their patients.
How We Work:
AcuityMD is a remote-first company. We believe the best talent isn't confined to one zip code, so our team works from wherever they do their best work, across the U.S.
We also believe some of our best work happens face-to-face. Critical projects move faster, our products get better, and our community gets stronger when we're in the same room, so we bring the team together throughout the year for company-wide and team on-sites built around that work.
In practice: expect 4-5 in-person opportunities a year through company/team on-sites and in-person collaboration for critical projects. If you're based near our Boston hub, there's no set requirement for how often you come into the office, that's your call, based on what works best for you and your team.
