Focus on Tier 2/3 break/fix, troubleshooting, maintenance, incident response, and durable remediation for LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, secure internet access, hybrid cloud connectivity, DNS, and related site infrastructure. You’ll work within established ticketing, incident, and change-management processes, partnering with internal teams and coordinating with carriers, vendors, facilities, and OEM support as needed.
Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN components, along with related services.
• Execute standard network changes (configuration updates, firmware upgrades, device replacements, refresh activities) and perform post-change validation/stability checks.
• Coordinate incident resolution with the service desk, NOC resources, circuit/internet providers, facilities, OEMs, and third-party vendors.
• Maintain accurate network documentation including topology diagrams, device/circuit records, IP address management data, standards, change records, and support procedures.
• Apply network security best practices including access control, patching, configuration hygiene, segmentation, secure traffic policies, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities, validating critical paths and recovery procedures.
• Produce incident summaries, change documentation, and root cause analysis deliverables with practical recommendations to improve reliability.
• Manage daily work through the ticketing system with accurate status updates, troubleshooting notes, time entries, ownership, and resolution details.
• Follow established incident/request/change/problem/escalation procedures, including peer review and maintenance window requirements.
• Communicate clearly during outages and high-severity incidents—impact, actions taken, current status, risks, dependencies, and next steps.
• Prioritize service restoration while maintaining security controls, change discipline, and documentation quality.
• Identify recurring failure patterns and recommend operational improvements.
Required Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering or network administration supporting production environments
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, spanning tree, routing/switching, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and routing protocols
• Proven ability to perform packet-flow analysis, isolate latency/loss issues, troubleshoot circuits/tunnels, and execute structured root cause analysis
• Production experience with Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switching and/or wireless SD-WAN support experience (experience with Silver Peak EdgeConnect/Orchestrator required)
• Experience with secure internet access/SSE/SASE; Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Azure networking and hybrid connectivity
• Experience performing firmware upgrades, device replacements, standard changes, and post-change validation/health checks
• Strong documentation and communication skills (technical teams, business stakeholders, carriers, vendors)
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS (or equivalent relevant experience)
• Experience supporting distributed enterprise sites/branch connectivity and business-critical operations
