Job description

ABOUT VEHO Veho’s mission is to power the future of commerce by making shopping, shipping and returns seamless for everyone. We are building a modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure designed entirely for the ever-evolving needs of ecommerce brands and everyday consumers. Powered by next-generation technology and a vertically integrated supply chain, Veho gives brands and their customers unprecedented control over their deliveries and removes the pain from the ecommerce post-purchase experience. We make delivery the ‘extension of the brand’ and leverage it to create deeper loyalty and trust between brands and their customers, driving customer retention and lifetime value. Our rapidly growing client list includes leading consumer brands like HelloFresh, Zara, Macy’s, Sephora, and more. To truly build an iconic company, we strongly believe that our people and values must be aligned with our mission. As such, we take pride in our championship team, merit-based culture. We seek team players who want to compete, win, make an impact and build a legacy, and we reward performance and impact players with generous equity and incredible career growth opportunities. About the Role The Sr. Director of Driver & Marketplace Product will own the entirety of Veho's driver-side business: the driver acquisition, conversion, and onboarding funnel; the driver mobile application; the backend services that match drivers to offers and personalize those offers; route building and optimization; and the Marketplace Operations team that runs the marketplace day to day. This is the space that determines whether Veho's last mile hits its unit economics — DCH and PPH — while protecting OTD, defects, and abandons. Today ownership of these levers is split across teams, and the result is that we trade quality for productivity instead of optimizing both. This role exists to put one senior leader on the full loop: driver supply, offer matching, route construction, and the operating playbook that runs them. Product and operations are one accountability; there is no handoff. The complexity compounds in 2027 as we introduce DSPs alongside our marketplace, turning a one-sided optimization problem into a genuine multi-channel marketplace. Key Responsibilities Driver Acquisition, Onboarding & Lifecycle Product - Own the full driver funnel: finding drivers, converting them, onboarding them, and graduating them from new to tenured. - Own the driver mobile application end-to-end — the primary interface through which every route is claimed and delivered. - Build the product levers for driver retention, engagement, and quality progression. - Key metrics: funnel conversion, time-to-first-route, driver retention/tenure mix, driver NPS. Offer Matching, Personalization & Pricing Services - Own the backend services that match drivers to route offers, including core personalization of offers. - Own pricing and clearing: how offers are priced, re-offered, and cleared across the marketplace. - Move matching from static rules toward learned systems that account for driver preference, tenure, quality history, and network need. - Key metrics: offer acceptance rate, fill rate, time-to-fill, ROA spend, abandon rate. Route Building & Optimization - Own how routes are built and optimized to drive PPH and DCH while minimizing OTD misses, defects, and abandons. - Own route length decisions and the logic for whether a route goes to marketplace or DSP. - Partner with Network Orchestration Product (First & Middle Mile) on the handoff between sort output and route construction. - Key metrics: PPH, DCH, OTD, defects, abandons. Marketplace Operations & 2027 DSP Readiness - Own the Marketplace Operations team outright: supply health operations, driver lifecycle operations, escalations, and DSP operator management run inside this org, on one playbook with product. - Decide, explicitly and continuously, what gets productized and what stays operator judgment — and hold both sides accountable to the same metrics. - Design the product and operating architecture for a multi-channel marketplace as DSPs are introduced in 2027, including the pricing, capacity, and channel-allocation mechanics that balance cost and quality across marketplace and DSP supply. - Key metrics: channel mix efficiency, marketplace liquidity, cost per route by channel, ops cost to serve. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment - Build and lead a hybrid product-and-ops org: Principal PMs who can go deep on optimization problems and an ops leadership team that runs the marketplace with rigor. - Operate as the connective tissue between last-mile field operations, CS Ops, engineering, and data science. - Keep the driver space on a single shared roadmap so tech investment is protected and delivered on time. What You Bring Must Have - 10+ years in product, with demonstrated Sr. Director-scope impact — years matter less than evidence of owning a marketplace product space end-to-end and leading product teams (Director level or above) in marketplace, logistics-tech, or gig-economy companies. - Direct ownership of a supply-side marketplace product: driver, courier, shopper, or dasher acquisition, matching, and engagement at scale. - Ownership of a P&L-critical metric set where product decisions moved unit economics measurably. - Experience leading product through a step change in marketplace complexity — adding a supply channel, launching a new market model, or scaling supply 5-10x. - Has managed PMs, and partnered daily with data science and engineering on optimization systems. Good to Have - Route optimization or vehicle routing-adjacent product experience (routing engines, dispatch, delivery promise systems). - Experience introducing or managing third-party fleet/DSP-style supply alongside a gig marketplace. - Experience at both a large tech-enabled operator and a high-growth startup — scale rigor plus scrappiness. - Technical undergraduate degree or hands-on analytical background (SQL-fluent, runs their own queries). Veho is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it. No matter the location, or the role, every Veho teammate shares one galvanizing mission: driving commerce forward with a customer-centric delivery experience that's built for the modern era. We live by our leadership principles. We're looking for team members who are: obsessed over the customer, first-principles thinkers, builders at heart, intrinsically driven to win, and owners biased toward action. Join us in building the future of ecommerce logistics and in doing the work of our lifetime! All California applicants, please reference our California Applicant Privacy Notice located here drive.google.com. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and other benefits such as a 401 (k) and unlimited PTO for exempt-level roles.
