Job description

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Manual QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our travel management platform through hands-on testing, detailed analysis, and collaboration with our development team. Contract: 6-month contract with the potential to extend to a 12-month contract. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios • Perform thorough manual testing across web and mobile applications • Identify, document, and track software defects using our project management tools • Collaborate closely with developers to reproduce, investigate, and resolve issues • Participate in daily standups and other scrum ceremonies • Contribute to improvements in QA processes, workflows, and documentation • Ensure thorough regression testing prior to major releases Requirements: • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) • Working hours overlapping with US Eastern Time • 2+ years of experience in manual software testing • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle • Experience testing web-based platforms and mobile applications • Familiarity with agile development practices • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with travel industry software or booking systems • Basic familiarity with automation tools (Playwright is a plus, but not required) • ISTQB certification or similar • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman • Understanding of CI/CD concepts What We Offer: • Competitive contract compensation • Flexible remote work environment • Opportunity to work on innovative, high-impact projects • Supportive and collaborative team culture • Professional development and growth opportunities • The chance to contribute meaningfully to a fast-growing startup If you’re passionate about quality, enjoy breaking things for a living, and want to be part of a dynamic team building modern travel technology, we’d love to hear from you!
