WHAT WE DO Rillet serves accounting and finance teams, the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight. Rillet is the Agentic ERP built for modern finance teams. More than 600 companies run on Rillet, including Mercor, Scribe, and Function Health, and we partner with leading accounting firms including EY and KPMG. We’re building in one of the largest software markets in the world, with the momentum to match. Rillet has raised more than $200M, is valued at $1B, and is backed by Sequoia, a16z, ICONIQ, Bain Capital Ventures, Oak HC/FT, and other leading investors. They internalize the mission, design a strategy, and bring back results that are better, faster, and more creative than a manager could have asked for. Our work revolves around our customers. The people who succeed here are energized by delivering what matters most, even when it was not part of the original plan. Rillet is built on deep accounting expertise, and it takes people from many disciplines to build a category-defining company. You do not need to be an accountant to thrive here. You do need to care deeply about the problems we solve and the impact our customers can create. Together, we combine the precision of accounting with the speed, creativity, and ambition of AI-native software to power the financial core of the world’s fastest-growing companies while redefining what finance teams should expect from their software. You’ll partner closely with engineering leaders to define the bar, build search strategy, hunt for exceptional talent, and close candidates with plenty of options. We’re looking for someone with exceptional taste in technical talent—someone who can recognize great engineers beyond titles, logos, or resumes and understand what makes them exceptional. You’re also intellectually curious. You’ll learn how Rillet’s product works, the problems our customers face, and what our engineering teams are building so you can recruit with real context rather than simply against a job description. Above all, you’re self-driven and make decisions based on what’s right for the business. You take ownership of searches, challenge assumptions when needed, and don’t lower the bar just to fill a role. We’re looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. Our hybrid schedule brings the team together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR - Exceptional taste in talent. You know what great technical talent looks like and can articulate why someone is meaningfully better than the alternatives. - You know how to hunt. You’re resourceful, creative, and persistent in finding people other recruiters miss. - Intellectual curiosity. You want to understand the technology, product, customer, and business behind the roles you recruit for. - Self-drive. You take a search from problem to outcome without waiting to be told what to do next. - Business judgment. You optimize for what Rillet needs, even when that means pushing back, changing direction, or keeping a role open longer to get the right person. - You know how to engage and close highly sought-after technical candidates. - You can earn credibility with engineers and executives through strong judgment and direct communication. The expected base salary range for this role is $160,000–$210,000 in New York City and San Francisco. Final compensation within this range will depend on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and the scope of the role. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits.
