Job description

About Us The Company: Dotdigital is a thriving global community of passionate, dedicated professionals, committed to the collective success of the organization and its clients. Our core principles of innovation, teamwork, and client-focused solutions drive us to approach challenges with a growth mindset and take ownership of our work. At Dotdigital, collaboration and curiosity pave the way for meaningful connections and learning opportunities with diverse peers. Our work environment encourages knowledge sharing, fosters exploration, and cherishes creative ideas. Combined, these guide us towards a shared vision in which brands around the world exceed customer expectations through the adoption of responsible marketing practices. The Product: Dotdigital is an all-in-one customer experience and data platform (CXDP) that empowers marketing teams to exceed customer expectations with highly personalized cross-channel journeys. With Dotdigital, marketers can seamlessly unify, enrich, and segment customer data. Breaking down data silos, Dotdigital streamlines decision-making and paves the way for marketing creativity that delivers customer engagement at scale. With powerful AI capabilities, Dotdigital makes it easy to automate deeply personalized experiences across web, email, SMS, WhatsApp, chat, push, social, ads, and more. About the Role The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a targeted, commissioned role on the new business team in the Americas. Your job is to find and qualify leads and turn them into Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) for our Sales team to close, by uncovering Budget, Authority, Need, and Timeframe. You'll build and manage your own list of prospects across a wide range of businesses. You'll build strong working relationships with Leadership, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and your fellow BDRs. You'll have a monthly SQL target, and your commission is based on the number of SQLs you pass to Sales that get accepted. The BDRs who do best here aren't the ones who know everything on day one. They're the ones who are curious about the people they're talking to, willing to try new approaches, and quick to learn from what works and what doesn't. We'll teach you how to spot the problem a prospect needs solving and how to lead with that in your pitch. You'll work the inbound leads assigned to you in our CRM quickly and efficiently, and you'll also prospect and qualify your own outbound accounts. We track how many conversations you have and how many of those turn into opportunities. Those conversations will be with marketers about their email, SMS and multichannel marketing needs. Knowing a bit about marketing is a bonus, but it's not required. If you're curious, we'll get you up to speed. About You We care more about how you approach the job than what's already on your resume. Here's what we're looking for: You're willing to try. You'd rather pick up the phone and get it a bit wrong than wait until everything is perfect. New messaging, a new tool, a new way of opening a call: you'll give it a go and see what happens. You're curious. You ask "why?" a lot. You want to understand how a marketer's day works, what's getting in their way, and what makes a business tick before you reach out. You love to learn. You don't need to know SaaS or marketing yet. What matters is that you can show us something you taught yourself and how you went about it. You welcome feedback. We review calls and emails together every week. You listen, try the suggestion on your next call, and come back to tell us how it went. Hearing "here's what to change" feels useful to you, not personal. You're a team player. You share what's working, cheer on your teammates' wins, and ask for help when you're stuck. We win as a team here. You communicate clearly. Native-level English, written and spoken, and you're comfortable starting conversations with people you've never met. You stay organized. There's a lot of activity in this role. You can juggle priorities, manage your time and keep your pipeline tidy when things get busy. Bonus Points (Not Required) Experience with tools like HubSpot, Salesloft or ZoomInfo A general understanding of ecommerce, SaaS or marketing technology Any customer-facing experience, like retail, hospitality or customer service Spanish-language proficiency, written and spoken, as you may speak with Spanish-speaking prospects in Latin America and the US Interview Process 15 minute screening call with Team Talent Interview with the Hiring Manager, including roleplay Interview with the Head of Sales Final panel stage interview Some of Our Global Benefits Commission & bonus opportunities Annual leave that increases with service + option to buy more Additional paid wellbeing days + annual wellbeing reward Christmas office shutdown (extra time off) Enhanced parental leave & family support policies Employee recognition & reward schemes Referral bonuses & long-service rewards We are offering a salary package of $95,000 (this is made up of base plus commission) Authenticity in Our Hiring Process At Dotdigital, we believe in genuine conversations and authentic expertise.
