Job Title: EPC Design Engineer Type: Fulltime Location: Torrance, CA Responsibilities • High voltage power supply circuit design. • Testing and troubleshooting of circuits / power supplies. • Guide program management for technical issues and assure successful production. • Supporting customer meetings, milestones (CDR, PDR, MRR ...), guiding the team through those events. • Mentor, develop and train junior engineers. • Actively seek out innovative technologies and oversee new product development to ensure continued industry leadership. • Support new business activity through proposal review and improvements on current designs Qualifications • Engineering Degree in a related field, EE preferred, with post graduate work a plus. • Work experience designing and/or testing electronic power conditioners or similar devices, with work in the space industry a massive plus. Minimal experience for various levels is defined below: • Level II: requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience • Level III: requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience • Level IV: requires a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience • Understanding and comfort with EE design aspects such circuit design, electric stress analysis, worst case analysis, single event upset and others. • Proficient with circuit design tools (Spice, Altium, and similar). • Capable of reading top-level specifications and translating into electrical design needs. • Experience supporting testing of electrical hardware preferred. • Hands-on engineering experience with PPUs or other high voltage products preferred. • Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing industry-standard root cause corrective action (RCCA) methodologies. • Must possess exceptional communication skills both written and verbal. • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
