Job description

Be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. Raxium is the microLED technology, bringing the world's first monolithically-integrated, micron-scale and Red, Green, Blue (RGB) emitter solution to enable a new differentiated display products, ranging from Augmented Reality (AR) micro-displays to direct-view light-field displays with natural Three-Dimensional (3D) functionality. Our high-volume III-V Wafer Fab is a critical asset, and we are looking for a highly experienced operations leader to ensure its optimal performance and continued scalability. Google's Raxium display group has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as augmented reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Ensure execution against daily, weekly, and quarterly goals, consistently meeting safety, quality, and output objectives. • Maximize fab throughput by driving daily constraint mitigation for tools, labor, and material, identifying and resolving bottlenecks across the entire production flow. • Direct all inbound, shipping, receiving, and internal material movement. Implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels for raw materials, consumables, and finished goods while mitigating obsolescence risks. • Define, track, and drive key operational metrics (e.g., OEE, Cycle Time, Yield, WIP). Develop and present regular performance reports directly to executive leadership. • Advocate a Lean manufacturing model. Lead and mentor teams to execute continuous efficiency projects that actively reduce waste and improve overall cycle times. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial), Materials Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 12 years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership and scheduling within a wafer fabrication facility. • 10 years of experience in people management. Minimum qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial), Materials Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • 12 years of experience in manufacturing operations leadership and scheduling within a wafer fabrication facility. • 10 years of experience in people management. Preferred qualifications: • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field. • Experience in SPC (Statistical Process Control) and its operational implementation for process monitoring and yield stability. • Proven experience in managing the operational aspects of a larger III-V fab in the US or equivalent. Experience capacity planning and factory simulation within a complex, large-scale, high-mix/high-volume semiconductor environment. • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, SQL, JMP) to drive data-based decisions for metrics and reporting. • Excellent communication, people-management, and change management skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
