Java Fullstack Developer (Pair Programming) Overview Our client is seeking a Java Fullstack Developer (Pair Programming) to implement applications following 12-factor principles, building out the product and its iterative enhancements. You'll work across the full stack, developing web frontends and backend services, and use test-driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality. You'll also take an active part in team decisions, helping choose the simplest appropriate technology and design to meet user needs. Must Have: Strong hands-on experience in full stack software development, with a focus on backend development using Java, Spring Boot. Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, or strong Python development experience with the ability to learn the team's technology stack. Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), including writing unit tests before implementing application functionality. Practical knowledge of Extreme Programming (XP) practices, including iterative development, continuous feedback, refactoring, and collaborative coding. Practice daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building products. Experience with CI/CD pipelinesand automated software build, testing, and deployment processes. Ability to collaborate effectively through pair programming and collaborative development, explaining technical decisions and incorporating feedback. Preferred Skills: Exposure to AI/LLM integrations, agentic applications, or conversational experiences. Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Angular, or Node.js. More Information: Pay rate: $70-75/hr (W2). This is a 6-month contract position, 100% remote in the USA. Candidates must be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or authorized to work on H1B, H4 EAD, L2 EAD, or OPT. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time. Candidates use their own PC/Mac with a virtual desktop.
