Job description

ABOUT NUNCHUX AI Nunchux AI nunchux.ai builds infrastructure that makes multimodal generative AI faster and cheaper to serve, and easier to build on. Founded by MIT PhDs Muyang Li, Yujun Lin, Zhekai Zhang, and CMU Professor Jun-Yan Zhu, Nunchux brings together deep research expertise and production systems experience. Built on nearly a decade of research from MIT and CMU, our work includes nunchaku github.com, whose models have surpassed 4 million downloads. We’re backed by top VCs and building for enterprises and millions of developers. THE ROLE Leading AI image, video, and creative companies run production workloads on Nunchux, and our revenue is growing. We are looking for our first GTM hire to turn that traction into a repeatable sales motion. As Founding GTM, you will be a hands-on seller. You will find and qualify leads, run technical sales cycles, shape commercial terms with the founders, and close deals. You will work closely with founders and engineers to turn customer conversations into clear priorities. Your first priority is winning new enterprise customers. Once the core sales motion is working, your scope can expand to account growth, partnerships, and building the GTM team. You start with a live platform, current customers, and engineers who support customer onboarding. WHAT YOU’LL DO - Build the pipeline: Find AI model companies and AI application companies with large image and video workloads, and start conversations with them. - Win new customers: Lead each deal from first contact to signed contract. Shape pricing, contract terms, and SLAs with the founders. - Grow customer relationships: Help current customers succeed and find new workloads that we can serve for them. - Develop partnerships: Build relationships with platforms and model companies that can bring developers to Modelverse. - Partner with engineering: Share customer needs early so founders and engineers can plan together. - Track and share progress: Maintain a clear view of the pipeline. Share the forecast and results with the founders each week. - Build the GTM foundation: Create the sales playbook, pricing guidance, and contract templates. As the business grows, help hire and develop the GTM team. WHAT YOU BRING - Sales experience: 4+ years selling cloud infrastructure, GPU compute, or AI APIs to technical buyers, with a record of closing large contracts. - Startup sales experience: You were the first or an early sales hire at a startup and built the pipeline and sales process yourself. - Technical knowledge: You enjoy technical discussions and can talk about models, latency, throughput, and cost per generation with engineering leaders and ML engineers. - Communication: You write and speak clearly with founders, engineers, and executives. BONUS POINTS - Existing relationships with founders or engineering leaders at AI companies. - Experience selling to both US and international customers. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese. - Experience as a founder. - Experience selling to generative image or video companies. - Experience with partnership, marketplace, or reseller agreements. WHY JOIN - Build GTM from the start: Establish how Nunchux finds, wins, and grows customer relationships. - A live platform: Sell a production platform already used by AI companies. - Room to grow: As the business grows, your role and team can grow with it. - The team: Work alongside MIT, Berkeley, and CMU researchers and veterans from NVIDIA, AMD, Snowflake, and Adobe. - Compensation: $160,000–$200,000 USD base salary, with $360,000–$400,000 on-target earnings, plus meaningful equity and comprehensive benefits, including health insurance and 401K. Variable compensation is tied to closed revenue. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications. Location: San Francisco, CA. 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
