Job Title: DevOps Engineer Client :-Cognizant/ Fannie Mae Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid/Onsite) Experience: 10+ Years Employment Type: Contract Job Summary Required Skills • 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS). • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/OpenShift). • Strong knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code. • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. • Proficiency with Git and branching strategies. • Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or PowerShell. • Experience with Linux/Unix administration. • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or CloudWatch. • Experience implementing DevSecOps and security best practices. • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Preferred Skills • Experience with Kubernetes administration and Helm. • Experience with SonarQube, Nexus, Artifactory, or JFrog. • Knowledge of vulnerability scanning and security compliance tools. • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator) are a plus. Domain Experience (Preferred) • Banking or Financial Services • Mortgage Lending • Capital Markets • Secondary Mortgage Market • Experience supporting Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac environments is highly preferred. Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications. • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or CloudFormation. • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. • Manage AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring security, scalability, and high availability. • Monitor application and infrastructure performance and resolve production issues. • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to streamline deployments. • Implement DevSecOps practices and automate security controls. • Troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure issues. • Maintain documentation for DevOps processes and infrastructure. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and collaboration abilities. • Ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
