Job description

Who we are : Nitra's mission is to build a more efficient healthcare system and the technology that makes it possible. Our goal is to provide an ecosystem of fintech and software solutions that help doctors better manage their practices, so they can have time back to focus on what matters to them most. We operate with urgency, intensity, and ambition. The bar is high because the opportunity is massive. We expect excellence, ownership, and intellectual rigor from every team member. We move fast, make bold decisions, and hold ourselves accountable to results. At the same time, we believe great companies are built on trust and respect. Every voice matters. Every contribution counts. When we win, we win together. We are scaling rapidly and on a clear trajectory toward becoming a unicorn this year — and beyond. Our growth is not accidental; it’s the result of disciplined execution, relentless focus, and a team that refuses to settle. We are building a category-defining company, and we’re looking for people who want to do the most meaningful work of their careers. If you want comfort, this isn’t the place. If you want impact, ownership, and the chance to help build a generational fintech company, welcome. Nitra was created by unicorn founders who have successfully scaled to thousands of customers and exited $1B+ public offerings. They are joined by an ambitious and experienced team from American Express, Citi, PayPal, Capsule, Plaid, Bloomberg, Meta, Facebook, and Mastercard. The team is backed by some of the world’s leading VCs (Andreessen Horowitz, NEA, etc.) and is supported by an expert group of advisors including the cofounders of Square and Xendit, executives from Intuit, former Governors, White House senior staffers, and a co-founder of CityMD. Nitra maintains a hybrid work policy, with team members working from the office four days per week and Wednesdays designated as a work-from-home day. We're looking for: A VP of Product who has done this before — taken a healthcare product from zero and scaled it into something that matters. This is not a role for someone who has optimized an existing product at a large company. We need a builder: someone who has sat with clinical operators, understood their pain, and turned that understanding into product that ships, retains, and grows. You will own the product vision and roadmap across Nitra's AI-native platform, work hand-in-hand with a distributed engineering and design team, and set the standard for how great product gets built here. Your responsibilities will include: Owning Nitra's product vision, strategy, and roadmap across all verticals — Finance, Procurement, Patient Management, AI HR, and Marketplace Leading and developing a team of product managers, setting a high bar for product thinking, execution, and customer obsession Working closely with co-founders and executive leadership to align product strategy with business priorities and fundraising milestones Partnering daily with a distributed engineering and product design team — comfortable leading cross-timezone collaboration and maintaining high output across a global team Driving discovery and validation with healthcare customers — clinics, practice administrators, and clinical operators — to ensure the product reflects real workflow needs Defining and owning key product metrics including activation, retention, NRR, and feature adoption across the platform Setting the bar for how Nitra ships — sprint processes, PRDs, roadmap communication, and cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, and Operations Translating AI capabilities into product features that are clinically relevant, operationally sound, and commercially differentiated Recruiting and developing product management talent as the organization scales You have: Experience scaling a product from scratch at a VC-backed health tech company — this is a hard requirement. You have built something in healthcare that did not exist before you arrived Deep health tech domain knowledge — you understand how clinics, practices, or health systems operate, how they buy, and what makes them stay Demonstrated experience at a high-growth company pre-Series C, where you operated without a full playbook and built one yourself Proven track record of managing and developing a product team, with the ability to hire, coach, and hold a high bar Comfort and experience working with overseas engineering and design teams — you know how to maintain product quality and team alignment across time zones and cultures Strong command of the full product development lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and iteration Experience working at the intersection of fintech and healthcare is a strong plus — understanding of payments, financial workflows, or compliance in a clinical setting We offer: Equity - Everyone at Nitra is an owner. When the company wins, you win. Competitive Salary - You’re the best of the best, and your salary will reflect your experience and reward your contributions to Nitra. Nitra maintains a hybrid work policy, with team members working from the office four days per week and Wednesdays designated as a work-from-home day. The base salary range for this full-time position is $225,000 – $350,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Nitra values diversity. We are committed to equal opportunities and creating an inclusive environment for all our employees. We welcome applicants regardless of ethnicity, national origin or ancestry, gender, race, religious beliefs, disability, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, genetic information, citizenship, or any other characteristic protected by law.
