Job description
Role Summary
Explore God exists to share the gospel with everyone on earth multiple times, help people know Jesus, grow in their faith, and connect them to the Christian community. Through digital outreach, online discipleship, and strategic global partnerships, Explore God reaches seekers around the world with the hope of Jesus in ways that are biblically faithful, culturally relevant, and scalable.
The Global Partnerships Director helps advance this vision by developing and stewarding ministry partnerships around the world. This role will focus especially on partnerships that support language expansion, including organizations that can provide culturally relevant content, online missionaries, response capacity, local ministry insight, and discipleship support.
This position reports to the Vice President of Program and works closely with the Outreach Team, Discipleship Team, and organizational leadership. The role will begin as a hands-on individual contributor but is expected to help build the systems, strategy, and future team needed to support a growing global partnership effort.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Development
Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic partnerships with ministries, churches, networks, and organizations that can help advance Explore God’s global digital ministry.
Lead initial conversations with potential partners to understand their vision, capabilities, needs, ministry context, and potential fit.
Work with departmental and organizational leadership to determine whether potential partnerships align with Explore God’s mission, strategy, capacity, theological commitments, and long-term goals.
Represent Explore God with clarity, humility, and vision in conversations with ministry leaders, global partners, and cross-cultural stakeholders.
Partnership Coordination & Execution
Translate partnership opportunities into actionable plans in collaboration with internal teams.
Coordinate with the Outreach Team on advertising, content, landing pages, and language expansion needs connected to partner opportunities.
Coordinate with the Response/Discipleship Team on online missionary recruitment, onboarding, training, response workflows, and ongoing discipleship needs.
Track partnership commitments, next steps, timelines, dependencies, and communication needs to ensure momentum and accountability.
Help internal teams and external partners stay aligned around expectations, responsibilities, ministry goals, and implementation plans.
Relationship Stewardship
Maintain ongoing relationships with strategic partners through regular communication, touchpoints, updates, and ministry review conversations.
Serve as a primary relationship manager for assigned partners, ensuring they feel valued, informed, and connected to the broader mission.
Monitor the health and effectiveness of partnerships, identifying opportunities to strengthen collaboration, improve processes, and increase ministry impact.
Work with leadership to evaluate whether partnerships should be expanded, adjusted, paused, or concluded based on strategy, capacity, effectiveness, and relational health.
Systems & Future Team Development
Develop scalable partnership processes, documentation, communication rhythms, and tracking systems.
Create frameworks for evaluating partnership opportunities and moving them from exploration to execution.
Help define roles, responsibilities, and workflows for partnership development across Explore God teams.
As partnership activity grows, help identify future staffing needs and build a team capable of supporting a larger global partnership strategy.
Job Requirements
Proven ability to build and steward ministry partnerships across organizations, cultures, and ministry contexts.
Strong relational and communication skills, with the ability to cast vision, ask thoughtful questions, listen well, and build trust with ministry leaders and partner organizations.
Experience working in global missions, international ministry, cross-cultural nonprofit work, or a related field.
Ability to think strategically while managing details, timelines, next steps, and cross-functional coordination.
Strong project management skills and ability to move complex partnership opportunities from conversation to execution.
Understanding of digital ministry, digital marketing, online discipleship, or online response models.
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including outreach, response/discipleship, leadership, content, and technology stakeholders.
Comfort working in a fully remote environment with partners and team members across time zones.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
