Prescient Edge is seeking a Junior Cloud Developer to support a federal government client. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and the abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data. Requirements Technical Skills: Cloud Platform Knowledge: • Basic understanding of major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. • Familiarity with cloud services such as compute, storage, networking, and databases. • AI assisted experience such as assisted development • Exposure to relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Programming Skills : • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in cloud development, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java. • Solid footing in at least one OOP language (Python, Java, C++, Rust, etc.) • Knowledge of scripting for automation tasks and testing (unit testing, etc). DevOps and networks basics: • Understanding of CI/CD pipeline such as infrastructure as a code, containers, serverless, etc • Familiarity with tools like Docker and Kubernetes. • Basic knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, firewalls, etc). • Awareness of cloud security best practices. Educational Background • Degree: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with focus on Cloud development. • Certifications (Optional but valuable): Entry-level cloud certifications like AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, or Google Cloud Digital Leader Requirements: • Must be a U.S. citizen.
