Job description

Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!
This role is part of Enterprise Technology (ET), where we’re developing the digital infrastructure needed to build the road to space, with an emphasis on digital capabilities required to advance Blue Origin’s mission. Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.
We are building the road to space, which means rapidly expanding our mission cadence, increasing our manufacturing capabilities by orders of magnitude, and inventing new vehicles and systems such as lunar landers and Mars orbiters. Achieving these goals requires that we scale Blue Origin Manufacturing through software and artificial intelligence.
As Director, Product Management and Design, you will be responsible for Blue Origin s manufacturing execution system (MES), and be responsible for the core systems that help us achieve higher manufacturing rates. You will lead a capable team of product managers and UX designers, and forward deploy to the floor where we build rockets, engines, and satellites. Your team is the trusted partner that solves critical problems for manufacturing engineers, technicians, production planners, and operations executives, for example: how do we allocate materials / machines / labor to the right priorities, how do we improve yields and reduce defects, and how do we automate critical decisions and planning processes.
