Prabhav Services Inc has openings for the Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Test (SDET) with Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any),Technology or related and 6 months of exp to write and maintain test plans.
· Develop and execute software tests to identifysoftware problems and their causes.
· Test system modifications to prepare forimplementation.
· Document software and application defects usinga bug tracking system and report defects to software or web developers. Createand maintain databases of known defects.
· May participate in software design reviews toprovide input on functional requirements, operational characteristics, productdesigns, and schedules.
· Identify, analyze, and document problems withprogram function, output, online screen, or content.
· Document software defects, using a bug trackingsystem, and report defects to software developers.
· Develop testing programs that address areas suchas database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing,error or bug retests, or usability.
· Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, orprocedures.
· Document test procedures to ensure replicabilityand compliance with standards.
· Provide feedback and recommendations todevelopers on software usability and functionality.
· Install, maintain, or use software testingprograms.
· Test system modifications to prepare forimplementation.
· Create or maintain databases of known testdefects.
· Develop or specify standards, methods, orprocedures to determine product quality or release readiness.
· Monitor bug resolution efforts and tracksuccesses.
· Update automated test scripts to ensurecurrency.
· Participate in product design reviews to provideinput on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potentialproblems.
· Plan test schedules or strategies in accordancewith project scope or delivery dates.
· Monitor program performance to ensure efficientand problem-free operations.
· Conduct software compatibility tests withprograms, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.
· Investigate customer problems referred bytechnical support.
· Review software documentation to ensuretechnical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
· Identify program deviance from standards, andsuggest modifications to ensure compliance.
· Perform initial debugging procedures byreviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdownsource.
· Design or develop automated testing tools.
· Install and configure recreations of softwareproduction environments to allow testing of software performance.
· Collaborate with field staff or customers toevaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
· Coordinate user or third-party testing.
· Visit beta testing sites to evaluate softwareperformance.
· Conduct historical analyses of test results.
· Evaluate or recommend software for testing orbug tracking.
· Modify existing software to correct errors,allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
· Recommend purchase of equipment to control dust,temperature, or humidity in area of system installation.
· Store, retrieve, and manipulate data foranalysis of system capabilities and requirements.

As with any , Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) the usual minimum requirement for performance of the job duties is a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Science Engineering, IT engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Communication Engineering or Equivalent or a related field.
