The role will also support business development across all three product groups—Specialty Fasteners (SFG), Workholding Solutions (WSG) and Lifting Solutions (LSG). This will include identifying new customers, distributors and applications, developing existing accounts and distributors, progressing qualified opportunities and creating cross-selling opportunities across the Jergens portfolio.
This role will own day-to-day European (including the UK) commercial execution, ensuring customers, quotations, orders and opportunities are actively managed from initial enquiry through to commercial outcome. It will suit a practical, commercially driven solution provider who can generate and develop opportunities, deliver agreed sales goals and support wider European growth, while enabling the European Managing Director to retain overall budget responsibility and focus on strategic priorities.
What you will own:

• Partner with the Cleveland customer service team to manage the European order book, expedites and proactive updates.
Quotations, pricing and commercial coordination
• Own routine quotations from enquiry through follow-up and outcome across all three product groups, SFG, WSG and LSG.
• Make pricing and discount decisions within an agreed authority matrix, with autonomy increasing over time.
• Prepare and coordinate opportunities above $10,000 and complex insert enquiries for Managing Director approval.
Account, distributor and opportunity management
• Manage assigned direct accounts and distributors, including reviews, action tracking and account development.
• Own agreed sales goals and commercial KPIs for assigned accounts and distributors, with achievement linked to the role's incentive plan.
• Maintain accurate CRM records for accounts, quotations, projects, opportunities, forecasts and next actions.
• Coordinate major-account activity and support distributor programmed, product launches and European WSG & LSG network development.
Technical product and engineering knowledge
• Build and maintain strong working knowledge of Jergens specialty fastener, workholding and lifting products, their applications and the technical benefits they provide.
• Engage confidently with customer engineers to understand applications, drawings, specifications, qualification requirements and technical challenges, particularly within aerospace and defense.
• Translate customer requirements into credible product recommendations and coordinate specialist support from Jergens engineering, product, quality and manufacturing teams where required.
Commercial development, exhibitions and continuous improvement
• Drive aerospace fastener opportunities and support business development across SFG, WSG and LSG through customer visits, distributor activity, product launches and structured opportunity follow-up.
• Plan and support exhibitions, including event preparation, target-customer meetings, stand coverage, market and competitor intelligence, and disciplined post-show lead follow-up.
• Improve European/US commercial communication and processes, and participate in Jergens' Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), including Level 10 (L10) meetings; own agreed commercial Scorecard measures, 90-day priorities (known as ‘Rocks’) and follow-up actions.
