Job description

About 9fin 9fin is the AI platform powering global debt markets — the world’s largest asset class at over $145 trillion. Debt markets are vast, global, and mission-critical, yet still run on fragmented data, PDFs, and manual workflows. 9fin replaces this broken infrastructure with a single platform that centralises proprietary credit data, deep analysis, and high-value workflows across global markets. Today, 9fin powers teams at 300+ blue-chip institutions worldwide, including global banks, asset managers, private equity firms, law firms, and advisors. The business is scaling at exceptional speed, with rapid expansion in the US and best-in-class retention driven by deep workflow adoption. We’re at a defining inflection point. With proven product-market fit and strong, global market pull, 9fin is accelerating toward becoming the category-defining platform for debt markets worldwide. ABOUT THE ROLE Build new client relationships in a defined territory, combining thoughtful account prioritization with the pace and persistence to create opportunities at scale. With a large pool of untapped accounts still to break into, you’ll build your own book of business rather than inherit a fixed set of relationships. This role is for a hunter who sells with focus. You’ll prioritize accounts, prospect and create opportunities across multiple buying groups, run well-managed pilots, and close a steady flow of deals, with clear ownership of the relationship from first outreach through the early customer relationship. Your results are visible, you’ll help shape a newly tiered sales organization, and you’ll grow within a clear individual contributor progression path. This role requires 3 days in our NYC office. WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON Every day is different, but here’s an example of the kind of things you’ll work on: - Own a defined territory, prioritize accounts, and win new clients. - Prospect and create opportunities across the buying groups within each target account, and build a reliable, repeatable pipeline. - Qualify quickly and run well-managed pilot processes from start to close. - Communicate 9fin’s value proposition to clients through tailored demos. - Negotiate and close new business, including multi-year agreements where it makes sense. - Build account plans that map the organization and identify teams and desks to expand into. - Keep clear CRM records and forecast accurately. - Partner with Customer Success, Enablement, and Rev Ops so deals move cleanly from pilot to onboarding. - Share ideas with senior management to shape Commercial team processes and best practices. - Bring client feedback to Product so the platform keeps improving for our users. ABOUT YOU This role will be a great fit if you: - Have 2+ years of relevant Account Executive experience ideally in capital markets and/or Fintech SaaS. - Have a hunter mindset and a track record of generating your own pipeline and exceeding targets, ideally in a high-volume sales environment. - Have a good knowledge of financial markets and the ability to build strong relationships within the 9fin community. - Can plan and prioritize across many opportunities at once, with accuracy and attention to detail. - Communicate clearly in writing and in conversation. - Build trust across a matrixed commercial organization and partner effectively with Customer Success, Content and Product. - Have an existing network in the leveraged finance community (helpful but not required). - Thrive in ambitious, fast-moving environments where expectations are high, opportunities are abundant, and no two days look the same. OUR BENEFITS We’re a scaling startup and we share our success. When the company does well, we reinvest in our people. We also offer a lot of responsibility, plenty of room to grow, and a platform to excel. Financial and insurance - Base salary: $90,000-$150,000 + Commission - 401(k) (9fin pays 3%, employee contributions are uncapped) - Private health insurance, with dental and vision - Paid sick leave - Disability insurance (New York) Time off - 25 vacation days per year - Local public holidays - Work abroad for up to 3 months a year - 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service - Enhanced parental leave and flexible working arrangements available Training and culture - Professional learning and development budget - Bi-annual team socials - Summer and Winter company-wide social events Hybrid Policy 9fin is a hybrid company, and the office is a regular part of how we work. From January 2027, all employees will work from their designated 9fin office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Some teams may be asked to be in the office more often, where the nature of their work calls for it. For the rest of the week, you may work from wherever works best for you and your team. Your Talent Partner will share hybrid working details for this role. 9fin is an equal opportunities employer At 9fin we are dedicated to building and promoting a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can reach their full potential and truly belong. We recognize that building diverse teams enables a more creative and productive environment. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You might just be who we’re looking for — either for this role, or perhaps another.
