Job description

Senior Consulting Manager, Product Manager, Transportation, Logistics & Supply Chain Atlanta, GA or Jersey City, NJ | Hybrid Leading at Cognizant This is a leadership role at Cognizant, where how you lead matters as much as what you deliver. Leadership here transcends titles — it's reflected in the actions that drive our business strategy, inspire teams around our future, uphold our values, and build a culture where everyone can thrive. About Cognizant Consulting Cognizant Consulting is more than Cognizant’s consulting practice. We are a global community of 5,000+ experts dedicated to helping clients reimagine their business. Blending our deep industry and technology advisory capabilities, we create innovative business solutions for Fortune 500 clients. And now, we are looking for our next colleague who will join us in shaping the future of business. Could it be you? About the role As a Senior Consulting Manager, Product Manager, Transportation, Logistics & Supply Chain, you will make an impact by leading product strategy and delivery across complex transportation, logistics, and supply chain environments. You will combine industry expertise, client advisory, and hands-on product ownership to translate business priorities into scalable digital products and measurable operational outcomes. You will be a valued member of the Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy and Utilities Consulting team and work collaboratively with client leaders, business stakeholders, product teams, engineering teams, operations teams, and other Cognizant practices. In this role, you will: • Set the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for transportation, logistics, and supply chain products, aligned to client and customer needs. • Lead the product lifecycle end-to-end — from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization — to improve quality, speed, and business value. • Own the product backlog, turning strategic priorities and customer insights into clear, sprint-ready user stories. • Advise clients on product strategy, trade-offs, and emerging opportunities across transportation, warehousing, freight, and supply chain operations. • Set testing strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards in partnership with engineering and operations teams. • Build performance dashboards to track adoption, reliability, efficiency, and ROI. • Lead cross-functional teams and run workshops that build alignment and speed up decision-making. • Support proposal and business-development work that grows our transportation and supply chain practice. • Coach product owners and consulting teams to build strong, consistent product management practices. • Model the Cognizant Way to Lead — building trust, setting direction, and delivering results with a strong client focus. Work model We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring three to five days per week in a client or Cognizant office in either Atlanta, Georgia, or Jersey City, New Jersey. Regardless of your working arrangement, we are here to support a healthy work-life balance through our various wellbeing programs. The working arrangements for this role are accurate as of the date of posting. This may change based on the project you are engaged in, as well as business and client requirements. Rest assured, we will always be clear about role expectations. What you must have to be considered • 10-15 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or management consulting, including demonstrated leadership in transportation, logistics, or supply chain, with a track record of owning product vision and delivery. • Deep transportation, logistics, and supply chain expertise — spanning TMS, WMS, freight, distribution, fulfillment, or last-mile delivery. • Proven experience leading client-facing consulting engagements and advising senior stakeholders. • Strong understanding of Agile product delivery, from design through testing and release. • Experience using product and operational metrics — such as service levels, order fulfillment, and ROI — to guide decisions. • Ability to lead globally distributed, cross-functional teams. • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills. • Alignment with the Cognizant Way to Lead and our values — Work as One, Dare to Innovate, Raise the Bar, Do the Right Thing, and Own It. • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. These will help you succeed • Experience in the courier, express, and parcel domain or related last-mile delivery operations. • Experience across transportation management, warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding, supply chain planning, cold-chain logistics, customs and compliance, or inventory optimization. • Knowledge of transportation and supply chain technologies, including TMS, WMS, EDI, APIs, IoT-enabled logistics, data platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled product capabilities. • Experience delivering large-scale transformation programs within manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain consulting engagements. • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. • A genuine interest in growing your leadership and product capabilities through Cognizant’s ongoing learning, certification, and mentorship programs. We are excited to meet people who share our mission and can make an impact in a variety of ways. Do not hesitate to apply, even if you only meet the minimum requirements listed.
