Job description

About Smartcat Smartcat is building the future of work, where human expertise meets digital teammates to drive 10x to 1000x productivity gains for the world’s leading enterprises. We’re on the frontier of an entirely new category: Agentic AI. We enable enterprises to build high-performing hybrid workforces made up of both humans and AI agents. These AI agents aren’t generic copilots. They’re fully trained digital teammates that learn from your best people, your content, and your business strategy—ready to get to work from day one. Our platform combines generative AI, human-in-the-loop workflows, and a living Enterprise Skill Graph that continuously learns and improves. Whether you're launching a product globally, onboarding new hires, translating learning content, or aligning legal teams across regions, Smartcat turns knowledge into action and action into scale. Over 1,000 companies, including 20% of the Fortune 500, rely on Smartcat to bring their business to the world—instantly, accurately, and in every language. As a Series C company with consistently high year-over-year growth, we’re scaling fast and investing in people who want to shape the future of work with us. Join us in unlocking global potential, one human and agent team at a time. WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR TEAM You'll be a foundational member of a lean, high-leverage Product Marketing function at a pivotal moment — helping Smartcat reposition from a best-in-class localization platform to an enterprise agentic AI platform, both internally and externally. This is an AI-native role at an AI-native company: you'll be evaluated as much on your fluency working with AI tools day-to-day as on marketing craft itself, and you'll be building the function itself rather than stepping into a mature playbook. MISSION Own and evolve Smartcat's go-to-market narrative as the company shifts from a translation-first identity to an enterprise agentic AI platform — translating customer insights into sharp messaging, compelling launches, and content that helps the whole company tell one consistent, evidence-based story. OUTCOMES Partner closely with Product to inform what Smartcat builds, who it's built for, and how it's positioned — grounded in evidence-based market, customer, competitive, and buyer research Own and evolve the company's go-to-market narrative and messaging, including the "market adaptation gap" and AI-native positioning frameworks Build a deep understanding of core buyer personas through market/competitive research (vs. Phrase, Lokalise, Smartling, Absorb, and other AI/localization players), sales and CS feedback, and direct customer conversations Create and continuously iterate on sales enablement materials, demos, battlecards, and objection-handling content Develop a repeatable process to capture real customer use cases and success stories, packaging and promoting them as case studies, proof points, and ROI narratives Own product launches end-to-end — leading cross-functional stakeholders, coordinating multi-channel rollout, and measuring outcomes to inform the next launch Partner with Content Marketing, Demand Generation, and Customer Marketing to reach target enterprise ICPs (life sciences, manufacturing, consumer goods, and others), generate pipeline, and drive adoption HOW YOU'LL RAMP By Day 30: Get deep on Smartcat's product, current positioning, and the shift from translation-first to agentic AI platform Talk directly with Sales, CS, and customers to start building a first-hand view of core buyer personas Get fluent in the AI tools the team uses natively for research, drafting, and analysis By Day 60: Ship a first piece of sales enablement content (battlecard, demo script, or objection-handling material) based on direct rep/customer feedback Complete an initial round of market and competitive research against key players (Phrase, Lokalise, Smartling, Absorb, etc.) Be an active cross-functional partner in at least one upcoming product launch By Day 90: Own a product launch end-to-end, from cross-functional coordination through multi-channel rollout and measurement Have a documented, repeatable process for capturing and packaging customer use cases and success stories Be recognized across Product, Sales, and CS as the go-to owner of Smartcat's evolving go-to-market narrative WHAT YOU'VE ACCOMPLISHED 5+ years of experience in product marketing, or in a closely adjacent role (marketing, sales, customer success, consulting, or product management) with meaningful product marketing exposure, ideally in B2B SaaS Demonstrated AI-native fluency — you already use AI tools (LLMs, AI research/writing/analysis tools) as a core part of how you work Genuine interest in, and ideally direct experience with, AI/agentic products, with the ability to speak credibly about how AI is changing enterprise software A track record of going deep on product and translating complexity into compelling, customer-centric messaging for enterprise buyers A proven track record partnering closely with product and go-to-market teams, driving alignment without formal authority Strong verbal, written, visual/presentation, and demo skills A blend of creative and analytical thinking, with the ability to synthesize research into clear, actionable recommendations quickly Excellent organizational skills and a strong bias to action, managing multiple launches/projects at once in a fast-moving, still-forming function Comfort with ambiguity and building a function from the ground up Why joining Smartcat might be your best move so far A global, connected team We’re a team of 200+ people across 30+ countries, working together through a hub-and-spoke model anchored in eight key locations: New York, London, Lisbon, Costa Rica, Serbia, Armenia, Georgia, and Spain. Most of our roles are remote-friendly, giving you the flexibility to do your best work from where you thrive. For customer-facing teams, we prioritize proximity to our customers, ensuring we stay deeply connected to their needs and deliver an exceptional experience. No matter where you’re based, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative, globally-distributed team that values ownership, speed, and meaningful impact. Be part of an AI Native Organization We are highly innovative, using AI across all areas of the organization to accelerate decision-making and free people to focus on strategy and high-impact work. We embrace new ideas and encourage all Smartcaters, regardless of level or department, to manage their own AI Agents. At Smartcat you’ll shape how AI transforms the workplace and play an integral role in ensuring Smartcat remains a leader in AI innovation. Innovating a $100 Billion industry Smartcat is reshaping the $100B multilingual content industry with an AI-powered platform that makes it easy for companies to create, translate, and localize global content at scale. Our platform enables enterprise teams to move away from slow, traditional outsourcing methods, and achieve fast, high-quality results, at a fraction of the cost. Join the rocketship to scale-up 10x and beyond together We are looking for someone to become an integral part of our team and play a crucial role in the most exciting part of our journey: transitioning from a post-Series C startup to a company exceeding $100M in ARR and $1B in valuation. Our journey isn’t for the faint of heart. We are growing at 130% YoY, thanks to our strong product-market fit and high-performing team, and plan to accelerate from here.
